For comparison, Ben Shapiro said that "Retirement is a stupid idea unless you have a health problem." That take is stupid, because while Ben is right that having a health problem is a valid reason for retirement, he thinks that it's the only reason for retirement, and that as long as you are physically able to work, you should. And Ily's take has the same kind of logic. Yes, dietary restrictions are a valid reason to not eat a lot, but she thinks that as long as you don't have a dietary restriction, you can just eat whatever you want, which is just as stupid of a take. Do I think it's weird that TBYS cut this moment out of his video? Kinda. But it's nowhere near the Aha gotcha moment that Noah thinks it is. Yes, eating too much of 'bad foods' is bad, but no-one should ever feel guilty about wanting a litter treat every so often, so long as it isn't an issue (which she implied with her statement of allergies and dietary restrictions. Dietary restrictions isn't a purely medical context, it could also mean what your religion allows you to eat, what your body can process, etc.)

Illy's point is still wrong no matter what food has different nutritional values depending on the type of food you eat. You need a certain amount of carbohydrates and proteins, lipids, sugars etc but if you exceed the amount required to maintain homeostasis then it causes weight problems. The common one is sugar and carbohydrates which is found in sweets and breads if you eat a more than you burn you will get weight because stuff like that is harder to break down. Eating vegetables is healthy but eating too much or too little will also cause weight gain. Eating a carrot is not the same as eating chocolate in any concievable way

They have different nutrients but one is needed less so when you have a lot of intake then it causes problems. It's like comparing water to coke. Both can be harmful but one will be more harmful in smaller portions. You would have to drink a lot of water for it to have bad effects and that's in one sitting. If you drink coke every day you will gain weight especially if you live a sedentary life style which most people do. And that's what it boils down to. Her saying you need a balance is a no brainer they teach that in middle school but to say chocolate has the same nutrional value as a carrot is just wrong

Even food that are healthy can be bad when eatten too much. I carrots may be better than chocolate, but at the same time, there have been studies shown how some carrot may unwanted things in it when consume too much. That's why carrot, even thou it's known to be a good food, isn't technically good food, due to it's flaws, same with chocolate too

You can die from drinking too much water because you're displacing sodium in your blood. As long as you take electrolyte supplements, you're very unlikely to die from water consumption unless you're drowning yourself in water. Some people fast for up to 30 days with only large sums of water and electrolyte replenishment supplements.
