  • In a groundbreaking project, VoltH2 is working on the construction of a hydrogen plant, an initiative paving the way for a greener and more sustainable energy system. The plant, located in the Netherlands, will use a 60 MW electrolysis package to produce hydrogen. This process is powered by environmentally friendly electricity, mainly from offshore wind energy and solar energy.
Sweco faces the challenge of scaling up the necessary technology. The key components, such as the electrolyzer, rectifier, and compressors, must work seamlessly together. The electrolyzer plays a crucial role by splitting water into oxygen and hydrogen, a process that will take place within the plant.
With this project, VoltH2 aims to make a significant contribution to the development of green hydrogen as a key factor in the energy transition. The ultimate goal is to produce a sustainable, circular replacement for fossil fuels, taking an important step towards a cleaner future.
