Thank you! Most of the spices are in my cabinet because they last forever. Buttermilk definately isn't something I keep on hand. Telling us how hot the oil should be (350) was really helpful. I'm a bachelor; not a chef. Best to you!
This chicken was so good … I don’t even like frying food because I suck at it … but my family absolutely loved this chicken … my family swear I’m a chef .. I love your channel !!
This video is awesome! Thank You! My husband wanted crispy chicken but I didn't have any buttermilk. I think you saved my marriage with this recipe! JK🤣🤣🤣
tried this recipe last month for my first time making fried chicken ever, it worked really nicely and the chicken came out crispy and sooo good!! i used chicken thighs because i prefer boneless. trying this recipe again today !!
Can kindly let me know what is self raising powder ? Is it baking powder or corn starch powder . Because in South East Asia , we do not have that name for powder ? Can kindly clarify ? Thank You yah Thank You Thank You Thank You Thank You
Buttermilk is expensive and it tends to burn. The only thing I would do differently is use egg whites instead of whole eggs. The egg yolk can tend to give the texture a less crispier coating than egg whites will.
@@IslandVibeCooking they (decided to make personal pan pizzas so everyone could get what they want on it) turned out great! The pizzas had a combination of sausage, black forest ham, onions, green peppers, and/or broccoli
You really taught me how to make chicken !! From your other chicken video ! I love you and I thankyou for all your good recipes. The chicken was a big hit !!!
Heyyy Sis looks good, I’m going to definitely try this.. only!!! because I can’t fry chicken no matter how many times I try, got popped by the grease in my younger days... been afraid every sense I just stay away from trying,,
Hope this helps & isn't too late... Well If your following her recipe of exactly using 1½ cups flower, I would add about ½ cup of corn starch to your flour. You actually would fine using anywhere between ½ & 1 full cup of corn starch, using her measurements. In fact I know some people that don't use any flour & completely sub in corn starch. So basically you can't mess it up. Anyways Best of Luck when luck and I hope it come out super crispy & delicious! Enjoy
Hey! I love your videos. QUESTION: I made this last night and it was a hit. My only issue was the crisp breading fell of as soon as you bite into it, which wasn't a huge deal as it was delicious. However, can you recommend anything to prevent this? I wonder if I need to do better shaking off the excess breading before frying? Thanks!
Yeah shaking off the excess will help. Also, make sure that the oil isn't too hot, and maybe try putting the coated chicken back in the fridge for maybe 10-15 min to get rid of any access moisture that could mess up the breading and allow for the breading to stick to the chicken better.
Chicken coating was nice but I shouldn’t have listened to the grease in high temp cause my chicken was cooking waaaaayy too fast on the outside and not on the inside
Unless you’re cooking french fries or something from the cold food aisle, but you never put whole cold chicken in there that is like the worst thing you can possibly do
That double batter trick is clutch….. this the first time I actually had “golden brown fried chicken”, normally there’s no kind of fried anything on the chicken lol……
I love the look how the chicken looks and I love all the seasoning that you use except for the creole I never heard about it I don't know what isn't, thank you again for sure I'm trying soon 💗✌🙏🤟
And then you 100% failed by pull it putting it in the refrigerator that will actually cause so many problems when it comes to frying because now you’re cooling off your oil massively quick because you’re putting cold chicken into the oil that’s why you’re supposed to marinate it at room temperatureanybody and everybody even chef know this you can’t put cold food and hot oil
I cant fry chicken with buttermilk it burns it. don't like how my chicken looks I been frying chicken like this for years .my grandmother did it and aunts. Never use that buttermilk.. Must be something new people use.. it burns if you don't watch it. I don't like the taste either on my chicken crust falls off.

do you prefer this recipe or the one where you soaked the chicken for a while in the fridge?
How much corn starch? And how do you make gravy -- just dump off most of the grease (cream gravy)?

Now everybody know that if you from Louisiana, you use Crystal’s hot sauce bc Louisiana hot sauce is too vinegary 😂😂😂 Or maybe it’s just me.
My god that crispy chicken looks good
Inviting & delicious looking thumbnail !
Do you have to use eggs what is it use for??
What type of oil are you using??
Is it ok to use all purpose flour
Yes but just add 1 1/2 ts of baking powder and about 1/4 ts of salt to your all purpose flour and that makes it self rising
Do I need to put hot sauce
This sister knows how to season chicken
how much corn starch ?
Nobody died yeehaw good job.
How long do you keep the chicken in the fridge?
30min
Yums.. But I'm on a diet tho.....
Ohhh man do you have cheat days lol?)
Yummy 😋
You don’t need this type of flower if you actually use cornstarch 99% of recipes out there use cornstarch

Not restaurants putting frozen cheese sticks in oil 💀
Good job baby

The thumbs down are from kfc and Popeyes cause they tried this and it was better
Your voice keeps cracking sounds like me when I was 13
I bet if you vacuum sealed the chicken it would suck the seasoning in better
Only 10 min. for drumsticks? I think they come up raw.
My Only complaint is... YOU ONLY MADE 5 PIECES.... WHAT YOU CAN'T SHARE, YOU DON'T WANT SOME FOR LATER??? There's Something "SUSPICIOUS" about U.🧐🧐
Its kosher!!!
It's burnt after 10 minutes at 350...
She sounds just like Rihanna when she talks.
Nope no eggs. Makes the chicken taste weird. You can really just use cornstarch.
