Rob I have experienced LF hanging my iPhone and iPad Pro when I try to stabilise clips recorded using Filmic Pro and letting Filmic Pro do a desqueeze with an anamorphic lens fitted. Normal Filmic clips are okay.
Luma touch have been in touch and hopefully will resolve the issue. Other people have also reported issue. Files not desqueezed by filmic pro work okay but will need to be desqueezed using LumaFusion.
Nice video tutorial as always, but I have some clarification, does the stabilization works with slow motion video (ex. 60fps footage slowed down to 40%)?
How is stabilization in LumaFusion using the Sony A7 compared to using gyrodata in Catalyst? Are there any benefits to having gyrodata in LumaFusion 3.0?
Good presentation but I’m on the fence. I still noticed a lot of shake after all the tweaking you did. If you had a shot of you walking or even running while recording then brought it in LF and stabilized the footage to make it look like the footage was shot with a drone that has a 3-axis gimbal and the shot is rock solid then I would be sold. It’s a very good start don’t get me wrong but I think Premiere Pro’s Warp Stabilizer is much much better in my opinion.
Running LumaFusion 3 on my Mac Mini M1. Video stabilization is not perfect. I have a video of a person crossing a creek of fast moving water with many rocks that can be used as stepping stones. The video stabilized version is actually worse than the original video. I guess it's trying to stabilize moving water. I'm sure it would do better on a less demanding video. For reference FCP and DVR 17 does a much better job with water. I think it would help if you could mark objects to track like the rocks instead of the water.
Having tried Final Cut and LumaFusion, on Luma the corners warp and wobble, the video looks worse than without stabilisation! - On Final Cut the result looks like a gimbal. I suppose it depends on the lens used on the camera.

Terrible, the LumaFusion stabilisation is worse than Premier which is worse than Final Cut, the image warps and wobbles
