    I have one of these. It belongs to my niece that my sister put in my house. My niece is 11 now, too big for that set. Thanks for the video, definitely will try.

    Thanks. Great job. I like the idea of a third bass drum leg in the front centre to hopefully help with bass drum drift wirhout any separate devices !

    I ended up with a kid's kit that I paid $40 for. I had heads/hardware/cymbals lying around, so that was my total cost. It is so much fun to play. We play a venue that always complains about volume so I am looking forward to taking it to that venue. I highly recommend doing this if you can come across a cheap or free kid's kit. Like you said, if not, then the Tama or Ludwig micro kits make more sense. Thanks for the video!

    Yeah I've transitioned to Kick Snare HighHat. Even in studio... When I need ride cymbal I flip the too high hat cymbol.... just got a snare stand! So happy, I had been dragging around a low floor Tom I had used as a snare stand. I got a little stool now too, excited for this summer...

      I know, right? The camera mic isn't even really doing it justice in this video.

    Since that bass drum is 16", what you could've done was turn that into a hybrid bass drum/floor tom. Maybe using something like Dixon's Cajon Pedal Plus or something like that. That would reduce your 4 piece kit to one less drum to carry and could even double as a case for the other two drums.

      I'm not crazy about those floor/kick combos. They feel and sound weird. If I want to carry less I just won't take toms ;)

    What you actually need are Arbiter Flats Pro drums.
    But unfortunately they don't make them any more.

    Just a thought of a video that may make 🤔 a lot of views. I just upgraded from a TD-3 that slowly evolved into a real set for adding easy drum tracks in video production of live music and dance 💃. Well, hoping to expand the inputs of the new TD-27 for the extra rototoms, cowbell-wood and extra three zone cymbals. I was about to make splitters to expand off the Tom's for the rototoms but thought about getting a Ddrum DDTI and going midi through the TD-27. Anyways, using audio from the TD-3 is not what works for MIDI into Abelton Studio. Is there a better option to expand the inputs through the TD-27? $170 for the DDTI. Thanks.

    • @demonicsweaters
      @demonicsweaters  3 роки тому

      Doesn't the TD-3 have a midi output?

    • @xr680r
      @xr680r 3 роки тому

      @@demonicsweaters yes, but I am just finding out that in all my research before I bought the TD-27 that it does NOT have the percussion settings to use a slave module. Even if it did, the TD-3 doesn't. The TD-8, TD-9 & TD-20 and others do. So, I cannot expand the inputs of the TD-27 over the 12 inputs it has. Splitting is not adding, its just splitting. So, right now I am using the TD-3 to split the Toms, but, for some reason I got confused and thought I could run a slave module with the TD-27. There was so much I wanted the module to do I lost track when buying.

    What a good 💡 idea. Fun video. I'm jealous of that jam room. May I ask what you pay to rent that? We don't have anything like that in my small town😒

    • @demonicsweaters
      @demonicsweaters  3 роки тому

      Sorry, I don't disclose that kind of information. But it's pretty affordable, especially for the area. What town are you in? Most places have rehearsal rooms, you might just have to search.

    • @bleedingflesh224

      @@demonicsweaters . I live in Butler outside of Pittsburgh. Most of the time you can sneak practice into a storage room. But a place dedicated to music is so cool.

    • @demonicsweaters
      @demonicsweaters  3 роки тому

      @@bleedingflesh224 Yeah, we used to use a storage place down in FL back in the day. That was actually better in a lot of ways because you didn't have noisy neighbors.
