My favourite swing on tour. Simple and powerful. A great swing to imitate, especially for a tall, slender player. He strikes it as well as anyone in the game and keeps that clubface square a long time. Moe Norman would say that he swings through the course, not around it. Not much to go wrong with this swing.
One of the best swings out there and works extremely well with those mid- to long irons. He's probably the best in the world with the irons. Hopefully he can be in contention in the upcoming majors. Sweden is really longing for a major championship.
Slight forward press to start the swing, which appears to be followed by a brief sway to the right side set - and then the backswing starts. Seems like an excellent way to make sure you get to the left side, open the hips and through the ball. Beautiful stuff!
Does he have a slight sway to the right side at take away? Almost like he's really posting on that back side for a powerful with shift to the right side?
isnt it right that he push his arms towards left just before he makes his backswing? Its the same routine for every shot. Do you know why he does it and how it affect the shot?
The Golf Standard for all swing videos, thanks.
+Jim Bob Plunkett Glad you like it and thanks for the comment :)

With you on this John I love Stenson's swing, so powerful. That little forward press then bang! Total commitment to the shot.
Agreed. He’s one of my fav players on tour. Just a ball striking machine

Now it is done. He made it as we all know.
@@pederlettstroem980 And he's out for more, can't wait to see the Iceman pull one off!
Thanks for doing this. Just watched him hit some today and his ball flight was excellent. It's a solid swing for sure.
No doubt, solid enough to win the FedEx AND Order Of Merit in the same year, pretty stout. Thanks for the comment :)
Wow i think I just learned how to play golf... Thanks

Awesome video. Thanks....
Love the way this guy swings and plays the game

Well actually he doesn’t.
Should winning more majors with this swing.
This REALLY looks like what Jimmy Ballard taught all those years, which I've used and it does indeed work to break 80 if you can putt.
Its amazing how still his head stays....
How does he keep his head so still.. 👌👍
It just happens. Good rotation. Flexibility
good luck.
Jimmy Ballard swing!!
:34 Henrik is a giant!

Robert Larsson The forward press is timing mechanism that simulates impact, stabilizes the plane. and helps promote an earlier wrist set.
Mint Tints in henriks swing its so obvious. But i havnt seen this routine from any other players. Or am i wrong?
It is just a trigger, don’t try it.
Similar start-up move as Dustin Johnson.
Scott Robinson if you’re meaning the hands forward? He and Dustin are not the only ones
A wonderful swing but I have seen him shank 2 iron shots on par 3"s.
I can do that
Ok
His swing is great! But only a very small fraction of the population are as athletic as Stenson.
You got that right....he's Nordic
