Mystery Box Opening From Rocket Railways & Sawyer Models

- This video we take a look at the £9.00 mystery box from Rocket railways, i decided to have ago seen as other channels have tried it and while at the Leyland model railway exhibition i noticed Sawyer models were doing a similar thing but this time i opted for n gauge.

Hi Tom. The Metcalfe leaflet isn't part of the mystery bag contents, it's just in there cos they're free and for information. The two leigh leaflets are actually different. If you look one is for 2022 and the other is for 2023 as it doesn't hurt to start advertising early. The value of your bag came to £19.95 for just £10 spend. Cheers.
Hi Andy i was impressed by the mystery bag i hope you didnt think i was being criticising nothings scripted i just say what i think at the moment and i did notice later the difference in leaflets and ill hang onto them till i get my next calender lol, ill hopefully be visiting the show in leigh in september, like i say i bought them for abit of fun and was very happy especially with the bus and wagon, just means come the winter ill have to get cracking on an n gauge project, ill no doubt pick up another one at some point, thanks for watching. yes he seemed to be impressed lol, he got quite a few good things in his mystery box as well a few other channels i saw werent as good value but definitely abit of fun and a good way of getting rid of odd bits and pieces, thanks for watching. Tom
Its a lot like the 3 wagons for £5 rummage boxes you get at shows. I love those. I'll wait til they have a few more in stock and get one. The box looks a good size for odds and sods in itself, and don;t throw away the packing paper either as that's good for scenery. Those tank wagons would be amazing for me as I have two rakes of them. A bit of detail here and there and they'll look really good.
Hi yes your right, you never now you might get an old wagon or coach or one thing a few people get is a loco body which can be used on a scene, let me know on the comments how your box turns out if you get one, thanks for watching and commenting. Tom
Having bought one of the Sawyer Mystery bags ( and being very pleased with it) I think all the leaflets and Metcalfe catalogue come as standard. I had a Rocket Railways box too which was pretty good, but no new stuff in that.
Yes your right they are, some nice stuff in the metcalf range, i wish i had space for the castle lol, the sawyer models bags are good value and i just recently got an n gauge one from rocket railways which was much better than the 00 one i thought, but they say them selves its the luck of the draw really when getting a decent box, thanks for watching. Hi Tom. I'm absolutely appalled by the Rocket mystery box. It looks as though they just looked through one of their rubbish bins and filled a box. They couldn't even invest in a little packaging to stop the items from being thrown around in the box and getting damaged. It just confirms my suspicions about mystery boxes. having said that, you did do much better with the Sawyer bag of goodies; but was this a rare piece of luck!?
Hi Paul I sorter new what I was getting with the rocket railways box the funny looking trees went straight in the bin 😂, there's a few bits I'll use like the buffer stops and track, I mainly done it for abit of fun I think I done better than a few others I saw one were I couldn't see anything usable at all out the box, the n gauge mystery bag was good value I have to say the wagon and bus covered the cost and the rest was a bonus I think there ones are good fun especially if it was for a younger person starting the hobby it's always exciting opening something we're your not sure what your going to get, thanks for watching and commenting, much appreciated. That bag of bits wasn't bad at all. The box on the other hand well unreal that was. I do like a good leaflet to look through.

A box full of rubbish that's only fit for the bin
one mans rubbish is another mans treasure lol, yeh quite a abit of it was no good to me, i can make use of a few items like the buffer stops ill use on my micro layout, for me it was the fun of opening something to see whats there and i can say ive tried it now, the n gauge bag was good value though i think, thanks for watching.
