"The Outpouring" part 3, Completion & Installation

My late release on this final video was due to awaiting the completion of landscaping and ground based lighting for professional photography.
Standing 25 feet tall in Homewood, Alabama (Birmingham area), my largest sculpture adorns the front of The Valley Hotel, a new Hilton Curio Collection hotel with the original "Ironwood" restaurant.
The sculpture honors the area's steelmaking heritage that brought wealth to the are. I designed a crucible that is pouring molten metal that cures into manufactured objects and purposefully ascends higher than it was poured. The hex head bolts, geared form, and vertical wing express industrial and technological progress. The wing-like shape may be a wind sail or an aeronautical or aerospace wing. Our journey to the stars began with steel.

That was a beautiful conception. Incredibly difficult, considering the scale, but it turned out wonderful.
