Jau, die gute alte 500 Zeit. Man was haben wir drauf gefeiert :D Megademo muss man als Retro- Freak kennen. Klang ist super. Habt das beste raus geholt. #amiga #amiga500 #retrogaming #retro #retrogames
13.45 minutes in and the best tune ever. I absolutely love this Amiga demo. Does anyone know if that tune by SCS is a digital adaptation of something or an original?
Jup that realy sounded lkike teh French scenere back then that where heavily influenced by Jean Michelle Jarre. i never realised this until you mentioned the song, and am curious how such a french scene tipe of song ended up on a RedSector demo. The leet culture back in the day did not really stimulate collaborations. Ill ask around at revision in April... there ought to be some RedSector member there
Tune is not by SCS but by Bit Arts (Hi Norbert!) and it is original, he got samples from Irata/RSI and told to compose, that is one tune that came out. And yeah, it's my fave tune from the demo as well.
That Bit Arts tune is one of my favorites as well. Surprisingly, it's one of the earliest Amiga demo times, and one of the most striking as well. To my ears it sounds more inspired by Depeche Mode (Alan Wilder era) rather than Jean-Michel Jarre. But it's splendid anyway.
I think you managed to trigger a bug in youtube. It shows “Read More” but there is nothing more to read, and I can’t click it either and there is no “Read More” text in your comment, so it must be UA-cam having a bug.
I spoke to Delta a couple years ago, he works for a charity doing imaging work. I asked if he'd ever do coding again, he said he would but it would be WebGL based. Romeo Knight still does music but in a band. he's done some demo parties playing Cream of the Earth (it's on youtube and amazing)
Echt 'ne super Quali. Wenn ich heute so dran denke, was wir damals für unsere 1000er hingelegt haben...😦 IMHO hatte bereits der 500er den Untergang des Amiga eingeläutet. Massenware ohne Stil und Herz.
@@willschweitzer9784 Perhaps you mean the remixes by DAXX. Yes, there was a video of all his remixes. Don’t know what happened to it. But here’s the playlist with all his remixes from the Megademo. ua-cam.com/video/aVGb2JlT2PA/v-deo.html
Since I've been listening to this demo tirelessly for years, it always puts me in a great mood.
It's it's it's it's magic! Romeo Knight! One of my fav demo tunes of all time.
Great work, awesome sound quality. 👍🏻
It's still magic.
I remember the music the animation the full demo from my youth. Epic!
i also remember this demo back then. I was blown away when i heard it for the first time. Really epic

Not showing the dirty easteregg in the Vectorball Demo 😕
I remember The Juggjer 'Doggystyling' Mrs Juggler... ;)
@@davidjthorne1733 Yup, that one 😜
This demo is missing the last part.
It doesn't eork in the emulator because of some funky coding ha there's a video grab from a real amiga with it
There was a really last demo part with a questionnaire:

There was another video with remixed music... what happened to it?
in our account or what u mean ?
@@sandyswelt3760 it ran the same duration but the tunes had more contemporary musical styles, including vocals
