Check out CrossingZ to find internships & jobs easily! It's totally free and they have both a website and app: www.crossingz.io/ I tested it out for fun and had 3 interview invites within a few days! But I'm premed so I don't need them tho... any takers?
I cold emailed professors. I only had to email 5-10 professors before one said yes, so it was pretty easy. Make sure to attach your resume in your emails.
For all the talk about these processes being horribly random and subjective, this seems downright algorithmic. Sure there is always some implicit bias in reading things like essays but it doesn't really explain why student X who had a 5.0, won three IMOs and cured cancer gets rejected from Stanford when someone with a 4.2 and a silver medal in a local poetry contest gets in. There is just no way their cumulative scores could compare the way these statistics suggest. I think we're still missing something.
Yeah, there's still quite a few unknowns which makes it so mysterious. We also know what your individual category scores don't average out to your final, indicating that some are more important than others.

Great admissions file, thank you for sharing. Congratulations on getting in. You look gorgeous, man.
After all the useless info in tons of videos, this was an eye opener and the most logical explanation into the college admissions.
Thank you so much!
