Congratulations for Episode 50 🥤 🦫 (💯/2) 🎉!
26:39 one advanced sawmill is full of sawdust, but the other one is paused, while the sawdust was emptying you could have unpaused the other one.
42:00 ooh you addressed that issue.
1:20:08 reminder for the greater cooking tent for the next episode.
11:48 Fun Fact, they can stand on the shafts to build so you don't have to do those goofy bridges, one of the main reason Lapan moved the door on block inwards... The more you know!
Thank you for the dynamite timelapse, watching you place singles of dynamite to blast large areas in real time makes my brain melt
24:48 There are 2 reasons to get rid of the barrels actually
1-Less stuff = less lag
2-They eat hauler time ( fermentation house is no worker needed iirc)
Do they need more hauler time than a no-worker fermentation house with the same input and output?
the house has a larger storage so haulers can bring in more at the time, specially when you get to bots, large inventory in the buildings themself is a huge benefit even if "crafting" is the same amount of time
You could add gravity batteries over by the platform towers on the storages. I think its taller than the cliffs now. Also could you add a trench between your bamboo and rice feilds so they can stop hauling water to the rice.
Would it work to set up the skewer platforms against a hydroponic farm?
The water in the bamboo area is at a lower level that the rice area.
it's probably the GMO growing lab moreso than the multi-purpose outdoor space that's making all the berries, seems unlikely that it's the prior given the recipe
"this nun storage... well its not a convent" omg comedy gold
great episode ! thanks for the time lapse of the dynamiting process, that would have been a bit of a chore to watch (especially if someone insists on not using the double/triple/quadruple dynamite 😉)
watch out for your screw axle stock, you went from ~120 in stock to 40 ish at the end of the video since you set the abyss factory to scaffoldings.
if you want to reach the end of the tech tree in ten episodes or so, you should try to get nuclear stuff figured out, get a radioactive material mining team and a centrifuge, set the ENS to make the diplomas you don't have yet, and make sure you have enough pencils sets being made.
also regarding your workforce issues, you still have a bunch of small mines which are not very efficient, the medium mines can mostly get the same stuff out of the ground but slightly faster if i remember correcly.
Oooh what a nice birthday present from JC
Happy Birthday to you 🎉
Nuclear power? or even just engines with the gas extractor is positive and half descent
Loving the beavers JC
Okay I can watch it all day
You need to have another multi-purpose in that stack for bramble and if you want to get technical you could move all your mushrooms as well to that and free up a ton of space down below😊
JC has finally put one decoration in where there would normally be unused space! Huzzah!
Now to maybe sneak one in by a ladder, or on the river...
🥤🦫!
2:33 Because you looked at Pinkertown XVI and know you might end up using a bit more!
could get another set of water wheels in that line you added in
→ 16:10 You are out of scaffolding. Likely because you are also almost out of planks, which is likely because of the advanced sawmill clogged up with sawdust (already in the end of the previous episode). - Noticed the scaffolding at 19:58 - 20:09 "Fortunately, the distillery doesn't need scaffolding" - Unfortunately, it still needs planks. - 26:25 "This [distillery] needs planks."
→ 31:31 "[this] should be a sign for us to build more giant log storage, but I did not do a good job of identifying good places for those to go" - You can certainly put one on top of the two factories you have here (unless/until you plan to build something else here). - 55:13 Done! - 55:53 If you want to do that, you can put overhangs on the river-side of the factories (plus the bridge platform), shift the giant log storage you have here one over, and then easily fit the second one. (You'll need to move the ladder, though.)
→ 41:53 "I could turn this [advanced saw mill] on, but I was concerned about power" - You could turn the second one on and the first one off, so your beavers have some time to get rid of the sawdust.
→ 48:27 Instead of more lemonade storage, I'd put other drinkables here you want your beavers to consume. Like the lotus flower tea, allowing to get rid of more of the lotus flowers. Or various juices.
→ 1:12:11 You could get an additional alchemist making nitroglycerine, couldn't you? - Ah, was done (1:16:40 shows it).
Had to stop and come back etc etc today.
Decorations finally getting in! Keep in mind a lot of Waterbeavers buildings have certain decor effects built in - the triangle roof upgrades come with Roof, the Balloons have a passive effect, and the Glorious Storage also give free points. I can't recall if any production buildings give decor other than roof, but you're probably already set on that so you're free to put in shrubs etc.
Another "dynamite" little project. Divert the origin four bad water sources off the map to get more fertile soil. Blast a trench for more waterwheels in between the large canal and the mine. Build up land in the large canal and make a U-turn for the bad water 😁
Put the nuclear reactor on an island in the middle of a river 🥺🙏
I commented about the gravity batteries last episode. The two on the far right must have been constructed while the rest weren't at full charge. There was a noticeable height difference in the weights on them and I couldn't tell if they were being used or not.
8:51 don't look down at you like that, your brain is just too smart for you and produce "happy little incidents!"
36:53 it looks fine because you have quite a lack of balloons... shells, coconuts.... and so on. Having one gaZ extractor of each is not luxure
44:43
If you build another one, put it somewhere else, so the well-being aura of the balloon affects more beavers.
32:15 Please don't forget to de-prioritize the dirt blocks, otherwise it'll stall your building production chain.
well jc.. then to solve the hauler problem, mayby its time to revisit my idea again. where when you have the explosives, you blow a hole down behind the ENS and have it all the way down so the entrance is plain with the edge and build a bridge over to the tower.. :D
14:13 for now... you didn't even toutch deluxe stew...
wow! the big 5 0 episode! wicked cool ... 💓💧🦫
48:15 reminded me of that liquid piston engine! 😂
47:12
Yey, décoration and other basic well-being stuff.
30:03
Check what the assembly line is able to do.
I'm not sure, it can make pencil sets, but it would make sense if it could.
5:23
As always, I suggest keeping a small bit of them in a corner, just in case you need to let them spread again.
42:50 you should dig 2 wide trench here for wheels.
instead of placing 2 wheels in parallel for power, you can just place 1 wheel & get same amount of power as wheel calculate power by overall flow on them, more wheels in parallel doesn't make any difference.
The advanced medical products actually cure both the severe ailments as well as the minor ones
Where are the red mushrooms made and would it be worth moving the production up to the area with elevator to the abyss? As badwater is produced there. Do they need sawdust like ordinary mushrooms, if so then it is also produced up there.
I think ther is still one farm complex to delete where the sun flowers used to be. Just across from the pine plantation.
Please don't delete it without building new house for the bevers. As you allreddy lack a lot of beavers for all the jobs.
Maybe build a few more handcrafters, alchemists and what ever else is needed for the ramping up dynamite/nitroglycerin production. So you can start blasting all over the maps.
I think some brain-boosting mushrooms are made near the bad water production area (beside the abyss). Not sure whether there is another mushroom grower elsewhere.
Another awesome video thank you
Is it possible to separate apportion of good water from the bad at the top of the map just to give you a nice green area at the very top
Maybe create 2 channels using dams or houses
This is making sake just fine, no need any worker though, as you can see the rice & water stocked up here.
It seems like we need more fermentation house.
1:18:46 I think it would be nice to fancify all of your blueprints. It would also make the menu slightly smaller.
Could you prioritize a minimum of 1 building with a recipe in each production chain. That way when there are not enough workers, instead of a complete production chain being frozen it would just slow down.
9:45 - the Multipurpose spaces going on the bottom makes sense. Can you remove a building that has a Mega Platform built on top of it, or will that destroy the whole stack? If you test it in a test world and it doesn't smash the stack to take a building (not a platform) out from the bottom, maybe you could remove the bottom buildings and move your multis down there.
Also, I think it's the GMO Lab that's handling your berry production, not the multipurpose space. You should be able to safely switch the multi off of berries permanently. If you ever need more berries, just build another lab.
I guess a better question would be "is the building UNDER a Mega Platform loadbearing, or just the Mega Platform part of the stack"
I believe it is only the platforms which are load-bearing
@@JCTheBeard In that case if you really want your multipurpose spaces on the ground floor you can just delete a hydroponic farm and stick it down there.
@@squiredoodad i think you can remove a CWF from the stack without it collapsing entirely, but you need to make sure you rebuild something in its place before saving, otherwise the megaplatform will become invalid and will vanish (along with everything on top of it) next time you load the save)
1:10:46 Yes, please do set up the dynamite hotkey!
27:30
If you reduce a little bit the channel by the ruins here, it might increase a little bit the power generation of the wheels at the food production area.
Your comments about drinking thru a firehose just make me think of the mouthwash mode that makes beavers powerwash their face for all to see and I know/understand why you won't add mods to this playthru but you should definitely remember it for the next waterbeaver playthru and just add a new wash station every time you say 'like drinking thru a firehose'.
That mod was actually made specifically for me by the wonderful BatterySmooth!
I think the reason you have homeless beavers even though you have empty beds is because the passthrough lodge is flooded so they cant live there
Can giant hauling towers be placed on top of one another be really cool if they could be otherwise I start putting those hauling towers in wherever you possibly could even without blowing them up just put ladders all the way up to and then just make sure you set four towers up a pair of ladders
Might want to start making your way to the other Abyss before you get soft locked again
Could we build shrubhedges and scarecrow to help with beaver well-being.
For power, could you widen the channels between the water sources and add water wheels?
This certainly works, but it's not quite the location we currently need power, and building a really long power line is something which TheBeard doesn't like to do.
my only advice is to reduce the working hours by at least one hour,,as beavers are not getting enough sleep.. and also lets start thinking about bots to reduce beaver injury
Waterbeavers don't have worker bots. Only haulers
@@JCTheBeard aw..man.I thought they had as we were making bot parts for clockwork farms
@@ANKITKUMAR-tj7gq You can build bots, but they will only be hauling things around (quite efficiently, at that). This certainly works for increased efficiency, but doesn't help against injuries.
You’re running out of sunflower oil btw!😮
That's most likely because all of the screw press buildings were disconnected from the batteries during the drought. It'll recover pretty fast.
Don’t burn the sawdust!!!
What else should be done with it at this point?
@@nurmr could make more paper maybe, but i think it's fine burning it
I guess we need some automation to turn on/off certain buildings depending on a storage level. Sawdust and lotus flowers are things which are needed for some processes, but at the same time having too much of them can clog other processes up.
Why build more trees for cutting when you can turn on the other giant log feller with the extra power + less beavers + more space for wellbeing and over stuff
I think the plan is to get the clockwork tree growing thing to get logs - this also doesn't need beavers (except for hauling), and with stacking them on top of each other, also doesn't need too much ground space. I think it's more efficient to make logs this way than cutting down the giant logs to normal logs (which is a big waste, cutting them directly into planks is much better).
1:11:25 - Automate? no way! having to remember (or not 😉) is all part of the fun! 🤗 ... 💓💧🦫
