- We bought a 1975 Ford F350 Super Camper Special to fix up. This is a fairly rare Ford truck. Ford only made about 3200 of the Super Camper Specials between 1973 and 1976. These were single cab long box on a extended wheelbase of 140" .
glad you saved it from the crusher guys thats the last real steel body style ford made up to 79 that 300 6 cylinder is real easy to work on too cant wait to see what you do to it i say you change inner fenders only maybe weld some holes in fenders and leave the patina look just love old school
scrap the 99 and put the 7.3 in this
+Phil M B We are thinking more along the lines of an 7.3 IDI engine swap. That is more Old School and you know how much we like that. :-)
I have a question my question is if the truck is a 1975 why does it have a 1976 grille
The VIN says it is a 75 but considering it's age I wouldn't doubt the grill has been changed sometime in the past.
I seem to remember reading somewhere that the 1976 model year was built in 1975. I was so disappointed when they redesigned in 1978, for I love the 1976-77 grille. :)
Soon we will be able to get back to this truck. It is going to be nice. We have all new suspension, brakes, and inner and outer fenders. We are looking for the proper engine and transmission. Next summer.
That'd be awesome! I love the 1976-77 grille. I'd also give it a 6.0 litre Powerstroke diesel engine.
I'm actually trying to convince my boys to use a 7.3 Powerstroke with the 5 speed but they are leaning toward a 460 with a T19. Depends on which we find first.
