      Mainly yeah they get them from death row but given the fact that at the start of the year all across America there's only 2000 people on death row (some are even waiting resentecing and retrails So the number of actual people about to be offed is probably lower than that) they need to get more from somewhere considering how many test use groups of scp I doubt even if they took every American in jail (1,215,800) they'd have enough d classes to spread out

      @@MickeyJF SCP classifications aren't based on the danger they pose, but on the difficulty of containment, and sometimes on how understood its properties are. A button that kills anyone who presses it but is otherwise harmless? Safe. Throw it in a locker and don't let anyone use it. A fairly nice guy who can disintegrate walls when he sneezes? Might be Euclid. An affable but unstoppable trucker who can teleport and causes car accidents with his mere presence? Best you can probably do is keep people away as much as possible, but you can't exactly contain something like that. That's Keter.
      Plenty of deadly SCPs are safe class, and plenty of benign ones are Euclid or above.

    Dr. Bob is one of the most amazing people to listen to SCP classified archives. Every time a video pops up, I have to watch it. He narrates with such deep enthusiasm, very detailed explanations, and at the end of every video, even had some of the SCPs interact with him too. For example, SCP-3899, or the Night Hauler, he positioned himself in the anomalous Peterbilt 379 and took the road to freedom at the end. Keep up that great work, Dr. I hope to see more in the future! 😁

    As a political science major. I am fascinated by Bureaumancy. Thats fuckin amazing as a concept. Also the lawyer sending a cease and desist was a nice touch. However there is a few things to the concept that should be reconsidered. (These might sound like nitpicks, but actually an SCP with the ability to warp laws around it is something that is actually surprisingly powerful and freakin cool)
    1. As you explained what laws are and they are also determinant on those who follow them. So why would SCP be afraid of the law, and how are they reachable by lawyers? How do people know if you broke the law if only you and the store know?
    2. If you do not acknowledge a law or answer to a law (IE: You are a shadowy black ops organization that operates outside of the confines of the law) Couldnt you just ignore SCP 4703?
    3. Does this affect just law? Is this constrained to a specific type of law? So the SCP has an ethics committee and charter of rules it follows. Would it rewrite rules and laws to serve its purposes?
    4. What is the extent of its power? Could it rewrite entire governments to just have a lot of arbitrary laws about a specific grocery store? Wouldnt that make it an instant Keter Class Anomaly because it could turn your country into 1984 if you upset it, where your brain is conflicted between all these legalisms and what would eventually be doublethink to keep up with the needs of the Store?

      i roll my eyes at half the technical details in all of these, because most of the time "dr bob" doesnt know anything about what he's talking about. a great example being the fact that he has the SCP using hydrochloric acid for almost everything, and in several cases storing it in metal or concrete containers... two materials it would almost immediately eat through. hydrochloric acid is a rather mild acid that rarely if ever attacks organic surfaces like skin, muscle, etc... the only materials it reacts strongly with are metals and masonry products.

    • @IsaacClodfelter
      @IsaacClodfelter 2 роки тому

      The do indeed trap many powerful and dangerous things, however they also have so many harmless to incredibly helpful living beings with feelings imprisoned for no other reason than they are "unnatural" as if the foundation has any grounds to decide what normalcy is.
      They protect humanity however they are the biggest force holding humanity back from claiming and harnessing the anomalous like we do with everything else. In their naïve attempts to hide anything that isn't what they define as normal they force a stagnation of human development. For hell's sake when they first found normal radioactive rocks they locked them up and impeded the study of nuclear decay because they had never seen it before and didn't understand it so it couldn't be normal and must be locked up.
      The files for it are still on record, they are just some of the few the foundation has been forced to lable as Explained and stop trying to keep it from the public.
      They try to do good but to correct one of their own internal mottos, they do not die in the dark so we can live in the light, they strive in the dark as the light would lay bare their faults, undo cruelty, and extreme incompetence.

    So Valerie is somehow made into some weird immortal sex doll while still fully aware of everything but can't act or speak about it. If there's a hell, then she's certainly got put in there. I should add that she doesn't deserve such a fate.
    Another interesting subject is SCP-056, is this being an extra-dimensional creature or being of some sort? Its ability to morph form or to alter our perception of it is incredible. Maybe it likes to feed on another being's negative emotions. Maybe it can feed on some form of mental energy. With such an ability and high IQ and knowledge in different area of expertise, I'm surprised that it can still be contained. One of the most dangerous weapons that an animal or creature can possess is intelligence.
    These stories should be made into actual animated series with full voice actor(s), music, sounds or whatever. It's certainly a lot more interesting than most TV shows these days. I have no doubt that it will become popular.
