I used to think that too, but in reporting you have a certain amount of seconds or minutes to get your questions and answers before you go to the next segment or commercial break otherwise known as paying the bills. The reporter or the interviewer is also under pressure to keep the interview within the scheduled time. What we don't see in the background are people signaling them that time is up and they have to cut it short.
Not defending them - I get your point. It sounds rude to keep interrupting Scottie, but he's also under the pressure of time and others around him reminding him that time is up.

There's been too many I have seen where the interviewer cuts off the subject right when he/she is about to say something poignant (like when Chris Watts mistress was being interviewed) and the interviewer cuts them off and then they never speak of that thing again. So ACTIVE LISTENING is important!

It was EERIE how much Kobe reminded me of MJ. I loved MJ, and when Kobe came in the scene, it was like seeing a ghost. He played, moved and talked like MJ. Wasn’t a huge fan until his second run because I loved seeing him make everyone around him better, to bring the Lakers from the cellar to the ceiling, without another super star. Those 3-4 years are my favorite since 90-98.
Kobe's hard work - Mamba mentality still encourages us a lot. Scottie was the most favored teammate because of his personality. Thanks Scottie, your comment really cures the loss of Kobe for all of us.

Kobe is legend. We were blessed to witness his talents, the memories of which we will all cherish, as long as we shall live. Scottie, too, is legendary. I appreciate him so much. I never played organized basketball, but I spent many thousands of hours, trying to emulate his game, along with all of the other greats, playing the boys in the neighborhood back in the day. I loved him and Michael, equally. Batman and Robin.....The game misses all 3 of you. Love you, Scottie......
if you watch enough Jordan and Kobe games, the amount of how many moves, behaviorism and talk Kobe did the same exact way as Micheal is huge. He was constantly taking advise from Mike, it shows on how he treated his teammates the same way for example, he himself said it. Tracy Mcgrady said they would watch Jordan's games and Kobe would rewind some of his plays again and again. I didn't have the chance to see Micheal play, except for his last year in 1998, I grew up watching Kobe, and I am so thankful for him to play just like Micheal played, because it's the best, most complete, and exciting form of basketball there is. He was right in imitating the best, he became one of the best ever, formed his own legacy and identity, and made millions of kids and teens and others happy and entertained with the way he played, thanks Kobe 💜💛
