Until six months ago I curious about NCT but was too "lazy" to get to know another group because of 23 members. I am a full-working mom with 2 toddlers and barely have time for music because of my kdrama addiction lol. So I was ignorant and thought it would be a hassle. And oh boy, I was wrong. I stan the shit out of them, they climbed all the way up to my ult group of all times. Each member is so unique. Not just the voices (at first I thought I had a vocal line bias, but they wreck each other constantly) but also their characters (Jaemin is hilarious). Beware of the wavy universe, once they pulled you in you will barely survive. I highly recommend getting to know them with some guides. You can watch guides for the whole NCT or you start with the subunit ones. But it is so worth it and I am so mad at myself that I ignored so much talent just because I was too lazy lol. Oh my goodness, same here I was really skeptical of going through the whole process of knowing each member in each group. I also have a toddler and I am a working mom as well. but what hooked me up, was when I saw them on Killing voice I think 2 months ago and I got curious because they were so talented. I love them so much especially NCT 127 and I am so obsessed with NCT shows.

NCT is like a school. Units is like the clubs. In order of debut: NCT U / NCT 2020/2021/2023 (Year): everyone is in this club. And members show up to the songs that "fit their energy". Also have yearly events( album) where everyone show up. NCT 127: same 9 fixed members in the songs mostly. 2 of them are also in the club (unit) NCT DREAM. NCT DREAM: same 7 fixed members on the songs mostly. Same 2 of them are also in NCT 127. WAYV: Same 6 fixed members (+1 in hiatus 2021 - ...) on the songs mostly. Chinese club ( unit) 2 members don't have fixed units yet, and that leads us to the rumored: NCT TOKYO (name can change): rumored to launch soon with these 2 members + 3 NEW members that we're getting to know for the past few months. Japanese club (unit) By next year we might have 25/26 members in the school (Group) NCT
honestly, i don't think understanding nct's concept is that complicated, they're basically three different groups in one: 127, dream and wayv (and there will probably be a fourth), but except for two members who are in dream and 127 (mark and haechan), the subunits are not mixed, they are like separate groups with different members and music, so you don't have to like all of them either tbh. then there's nct u, which is a mix of members of all the subunits in songs, but they're not official and appear from time to time. anyway, nct 127 is my ult group and i'm really happy that you seemed to like them! you never know what they will come up with... they also have one of the best vocal lines currently in kpop, i don't know how much you're into vocals (i've only seen your reactions to ggs) but i hope that if you decided to get to know them more, one day you can react to them in dingo killing voice
That's what actually made me follow them, I've been hearing about them but I thought it was just one of those groups with beautiful boys without a strong vocal line. I'm into vocals so first time I heard them I completely fell in love...
If lyrical quality is your favourite, I suggest "Favourite (Vampire)" from 127! The song is a trip to listen to but the lyrics are so heart-breaking and beautiful.

only as an nctzen you will realize that this concept of nct is absolutely genius because they have opportunities that other groups wont ever have. they have shows that other groups couldnt do because other groups members know each other so well but nct has so many members that they can put them together and let them get closer and stuff like that. they literally have a show in which two members are put in a room which are awkward together and then they try to fix that. trust me, you WANT more members if u are an nctzen. it is FUN
