Both the song and video for "The Man" address the sexism and misogyny prevalent in today's culture. Through her male alter ego Tyler, Swift points out the double standards women face at work, in their dating lives, with their sexuality, and more. We broke down all of the music video's easter eggs, such as references to Leonardo DiCaprio and "The Wolf of Wall Street," Serena Williams and her 2018 U. S. Her this so called "man hating" era is basically the first step every feminist takes and there are many who doesn't move from it but now on *2021* it's very clear she did. My little brother and even my elder brothers have shared with me how you kind of go into one extreme end (man hating or in their case woman hating) and then you become better feminist when you move on which most people gradually do.
