The very first Goethe observation resonated with me very deeply, as I have recently planned to travel - I already had tickets and bookings - but faced some visa issues and didn't go anywhere. And at that moment, I realized that I was relieved. I didn't have to go anywhere. I didn't have to get exposed to new situations, the challenges of navigating a new city, meeting new people, and getting out of my comfort zone overall. It was the first time I felt that way - almost terrified instead of excited about the journey ahead of me. Traveling is indeed a good environment for self-observation.
