to make a 1989 portrait easier just replace the "background" file from 2:14 for the 5:10 file, and pose mode will automatically change the background when you make a new one :)!!! (remember changing the name file to "Background")

It didn't work for me, It set the portrait for Student_0 instead.
try replacing student_1 (or forward) for example
@@MurakamiAkane Another thing that happened was I got it to work but it kept saying "Save your project so you can edit it later" and didn't set it, Do you know why and how to fix it?

It is possible, go to the game folder, streaming assets, json, and then custom.
in "Club":0," "Crush":0," etc. change it to the corresponding number, for example the club number and the crush number, student number. (idk if I explained myself well)

I use paint.net to make them, you can download the program completely free

it wont let me do this for taro, i got a custom image off pinterest and i did all the things in this video but with my custom image, and it wont change taros image on the image screen someone pls help
Did you place it as student_0??? Taro/Senpai is the student_1 I had no problem changing mine
