    Don’t forget the time Jack analyzed one of her reactions and realized she’s not even reacting to the videos in real time cause on her glasses reflection you could see her screen was just white
    Wait one more. Don’t forget she stole her gamer girl schtick from GirlGoneGamer by saying she faked her gameplay. Her sub count literally jumped at least 30k. Yeah, that’s how she got her break

    It is the birth of UA-cam and reaction content is considered lazy and everyone demands them to be abolished.
    It is 2015 and reaction content is considered lazy and everyone demands them to be abolished.
    It is 2023 and reaction content is considered lazy and everyone demands them to be abolished.

      back in the days, it wasn't so much of it was just 'lAzy' therefore EVERYONE apparently wanted to be abolished because of some contrived ethics being put out in the matter...
      it was simply going against soem Tubers who were easy to be made fun of & that was essential just it...
      'Reaction Content' was still thriving on by its nature through the audience watching lots of it such as 'REACT' etc.
      Reaction channels work on the parasocial nature that's ingrained within Humans but that doesn't mean that everyone who seeks reaction content will thrive off for just the 'parasocial' aspect; it could be because you want more additional information from the type of feedback that's being transpired through the subject matter of a piece of media that's being consumed, this also goes to any type of medium that you personally enjoy & want to seek any form of a 'Reaction' for some type of feedback/information to that piece of media that you enjoy.

    This whole "debate" would be irrelevant if UA-cam would just create a built-in mechanism for reacting to other videos.
    Rather than Reactors inserting the video into their own, their video would consist only of their reaction itself and the timecode of the original video. Then they would somehow link it to the original, and UA-cam would composite them together in real-time.
    That way, the original video still gets a view, and people can make reactions without worrying about copyright. Everybody wins.

    • @gratermccheesy9650
      @gratermccheesy9650 21 день тому +1

      They could just auto link monetazation if the copyright is triggered/ manually selected by the channel owner. They could also try implementing a percentage system based on how many times the video is paused and actually reacted to just to encourage more transformation to the video.

      While i definitely think you make a good point with this YT kind of already had this function in the past with video replies - this is ancient history by now but it did lead to the "Reply Girl" phenomenon which was one of the most hated archetypes on the platform, probably even more so than reaction content
      Sadly I don't think YT cares enough about this to do anything about it, especially since the reactors draw such a big audience. It's depressing that this "content" which seems universally despised still going as strong as ever

    From what I remember, Jacksfilms was going to branch out the SSSniperwolf Bingo to Reactor Bingo, where he criticizes a more varied line of lazy reactors. Unfortunately on the day he was launching Reactor bingo, SSSniperwolf went to his house, so that whole idea never went further, and I believe content on that stream is lost media, outsidenof the moment Jacksfilms finds out SSSniperwolf went to his house. Such a shame that she did that when Jacksfilms was planning on talking about other lazy reactors.

    this has been and always will be my take on this situation, I think the concept of reaction content is fine, so long as your adding something to the video to make it transformative in lieu of just sitting there adding nothing but dead space, my personal pick for the greatest reactor ever would be Hobo Ryan, every time he watches something he adds his own thoughts to the video as well as having hilarious reactions, he puts in some genuinely funny skits as well, no one really tops Ryan and I don't think anybody ever will. I also think it's only fair to credit the original creator in the description as well, I'm actually a former reactor myself but I gave up on it back in November 2021, those videos were nothing special anyways.

    Xqc point about reaction viewers not having the full content of the video if they only get to see parts of the video makes no sense. Lazy reaction channels constantly argue that they are giving exposure to the original creator. If that’s the case wouldn’t the reaction viewers see the context of the clips once they go and watch the whole original video. Even then if xqc is so worried context being lost through snippets which is doesn’t make sense because summarization and condensing things is something people have been doing for a long time. Why doesn’t he work on his summarization skills so that he can include snippets of the key stuff from the video without removing context of the video

    I hate reaction channels, but no one including myself should hate them because the earliest channels were black. It's bigotted, and I am solely against racism towards UA-camrs who make bad content. It's immoral, so *do not* harass them. I loved Chadtronic back then and now; he even collaborated with SammyClassicSonicFan after reacting to his most notorious videos from years ago. But SSSniperwolf is the worst offender, since she ghosted a dying fan, sexted minors on Omegle, and doxxed Jacksfilms' home to her simps(which is not only a violation of UA-cam's Terms of Service, but Instagram where the video was posted as well). I'm baffled UA-cam still promotes her instead of terminating the channel, because like they usually do, the platform cares about money than sympathizing with other creators.

      @@gruzi. I'm aware they haven't created reaction videos, but my statement is true regarding bad content. I do not condone racism against users who make shitty videos on a daily basis, nor do I encourage it, especially towards Jinx. As I mentioned earlier, reaction videos have begun to surface relating to people's reaction to internet screamers(K-Fee or the Scary Maze Game), and erotic material like 2 Girls 1 Cup like this episode of UA-cam History explained. Reaction content is nothing new and only a few of them turn out to be complete scumbags and awful people irl. SSSniperwolf is just one of the maggots on this platform for not only stealing content and uncrediting the creators, but she doxxed Jacksfilms, ghosted a dying fan, sexted minors on Omegle, and had a criminal history of armed robbery and physical assault on the UA-camr she stole her mojo from.

    34:35 This was a problem with the Poggers Community video and still is here: HIS LIVING SITUATION IS THE *LEAST* VALID THING YOU CAN CRITICIZE HIM FOR! Criticize him for his actions and refrain from personal attacks. Just doing this boosts his biggest problem: HIS EGO! He’s so overconfident and acts childishly to the point where some times he points out people arguing against him and timing them out. Attacking him in this way will just make him think: “the only reason these people go after me is because of who I associate with and not what I personally have done, so the greatest likelihood is that I haven’t done anything wrong.”
    If you’re gonna go after asmongold don’t just comment on his room and living conditions and how he looks. It just makes you look like you have NO real argument against him. Hell, in a later video he made he acknowledged how his reaction video of the actman’s content cannibalized a video he reacted to so there is a play where you can say he’s being negligent with the content he reacts to and how that can affect the original video’s performance.

    32:39 He did distinguish between good and bad reaction content. As written on the first page:
    "Keep in mind that ‘reactors’ are not reviewers, analysts, documentarians, expert critics, or video essayists. They are people who present their first experience of a video as content, doing so with no idea if they have anything of substance to contribute as they haven’t seen the content before. In other words they present their ‘reaction’ to something they have not seen instead of putting actual effort into making something after the fact once they know they have something of value to add."

    • @godzillazfriction
      @godzillazfriction 3 місяці тому

      that last segment of the argument was pretty contrived on its semantic levels of value to determine what a 'Reaction Content Creator' should absolutely transpire & generalise to what it should & shouldn't be as based on how the sentiment played coil of ''Reaction Content is about how ppl present their reaction as a 'first hand experience' towards the content that is naturally presentable for reaction content i.e. doing so makes the content creator have no idea if they're contributing any sort or form of substance as they haven't seen the content before" - the sentiment falls flat based on what to determine a 'Reaction Content Creator' based on serving 0 substance provided as they haven't seen the content from before, while throwing semantics at the over-generalisations of what a 'Reaction Content Creator' is in absolute truth & informally labelling everyone who does that type of content.
