Yes, in the music it is written as a Db and the “and of beat 3” at m. 16; however m. 22 is an exact repetition of the earlier phrase that m. 16 is in, and it’s an F on the “and of 3” of m. 22. I will ask Mrs. Davila and get a definitive answer.
For steven's grip, I was taught to place the inner mallet in the center of my palm, but I usually get a red spot in the top right center of my palm, Is that fine or should I fix my 4-Mallet grip? Edit: The mark from the mallet shows up in the top right of my right hand and the top left of my left hand
For help with Stevens Grip, I would recommend you search "Liquidrums Stevens Grip - the Setup." It's a great video that shows you how to approach the larger positions, which should help get the mallet's butt-end to move in the grip, helping avoid that red spot in the center of your palm. Best of luck on your preparation!!
Do you have any tips to get better at the arpeggio eighth note section? specifically the area where it changes to many different notes, I find that I can't keep up and find the notes quick enough.
Check out my video: "TMEA 2024 4-Mallet Tip 2: MALLET SHIFTING." I think that would help with what (I believe) you're asking about. Best of luck; you'll do great!
Im glad they picked a skilled 4 mallet piece for this year
At least the mallet etudes sound good 😂
I can’t wait to play this at auditions
Best of luck on your preparation! You'll do great!!!
This sounds so much like a different piece. I specially at 1:35-1:50, but I can’t think of it.
I thought I would never be able to do 4 mallets yet im doing it 🥳🥳🥳🥳
Very entertaining.
It’s Nocturnal Dance by Jesse Monkman!
Not gonna lie, can't wait to play this
At 0:58 measure 16 shouldn’t the te of 3 be D flat instead of F

Hey sir, I noticed you played A Natural in M.10 on the LH. Is that suppose to be an errata. In my music it still shows A-Flat.
Yes, I have included an errata in the description. Thank you for catching that
