Nice one, looking to upgrade my old InkBird. Curious if the temp guide (rare / medium rare etc) to take off includes a rest time to bring to temp or not? Otherwise you’re having to take off prior to the ideal temp, then it continues to increase while resting and will go past your ideal temp. Or do you set for medium rare, take it off when hits medium rare, rest and it comes to medium?
Interestingly Meater has released a new probe too, with a much wider range of ambient temps - a decent sear would easily damage this one if it can only go to 500ish ambient. I have my pellet grill set to 550 for the final sear (pretty much only for about a minute each side and I’d likely thanks the probe out before the sear anyway Some rotisseries where a wireless probe comes into its own can also have bursts of high temps. I’m having some doubts on this one to be honest - but thanks for the great review
I love that the outside part measures the temperature of the grill/smoker.
Great review Andrew! Looks like a great thermometer might have to look into this one, thanks for sharing. Have a great week cheers brother🍻

I just ordered one! Love the 40% off deal going right now!
Sweeet!
I use the Chef IQ myself. The case can store three probes but charges one at a time.

Any idea why this model isn't on the INKBIRD website? I must be blind.....

@@GrillSergeant Wow, I am blind. I like your review. I think I'll try out this brand as well for wireless meters.
Nice thermometer. I love my Inkbird products. I'll take mine medium rare too please.
I like that the case is magnetic. Would love to see you smoke some seafood next time around.
That steak looked friggin awesome
Look how slowly the internal temp updates in the app.
the steak looks good, Andrew. but everyone would hate me though :(
