@@angleth ah yes, this is one of my favorite piano pieces when I started out, other than moonlight sonata phase 3. I am on my second week now, I will learn how to use my brain to move the keys with telekinis next week.
La campanella is quite difficult of a piece, with his various challenges, but it has his tricks (mostly relaxing hands and/or "smoothing" the jumps). However, if you ever try to perform this version it doesn't have any tricks in order to make it "easier". although you can take the normal version and start by there, there's many miscellaneous details that make this version *almost* impossible to make it the same level of technique as the original one. So, for this particular version it does require very good skills and a LOT of training. Trust me when I say that I once tried to play it and let's just say that I just couldn't do it at all.
@@EliteCubingAlliance I don't know if you actually ever touched la campanella, but the original version definitely does not require as much level of musical maturity as the busoni version. He's technically wrong by saying it in that way because it sounds he is saying that Liszt original version isn't difficult. Of course it is challenging but definitely not as much. For example, right in the beginning, hitting those octavesis actually harder than the leaps from the D# to the melody. Obviously it can't be compared to the rest of it but that's just what popped up in my mind. By saying this, la campanella hurts your fingers, this version break them. So, don't compare them because they are not on the same level and requires a pack of different skills in order to master it, or at least play it.
@@IchiganCS it could possibly be sped up but I don't think Traum of all people would do that. No way of proving it wrong unless you really dive deep into it
At this point, I wouldn't even be suprised if he did most of the la campanella versions. But seriously, can we just appreciate how insane traum is at learning new pieces.
