I have one of those little wood stoves also. I bought it on Amazon a couple years ago. Folds up nice and compact, I used it to cook a couple smokies on a few weeks ago while ice fishing. The couple that we were fishing with thought it was a pretty cool little wood stove.
i was very lucky to grow up with my dad sharing all his knowledge of herbal medicine/eatable plants!! im still learning plants that dont grow in my area of the country!! looking forward to what you share with us too!!! thanks for sharing & be safe!!
Hi again CAREENA…..just keep being “ YOU”…and put out what YOU want to put out, when YOU,want to put it out!!!! Screw any NEGATIVE people,NO ONE needs NEGATIVE NELLIE’S in their lives!!!!💞👍👏💞
I love all your content no matter what you do. Trying to figure out an ever changing UA-cam algorithm will only stres you out. You've built a huge following doing what you love and what your subscribers love watching. Seeing your new gear is cool and just you hanging out in the woods enjoying a coffee inspires me (and others I'm sure) to get out there ourselves. You do you and your loyal subsribers will find your videos and watch!
@Careena Alexis I finally got my bucksaw from DJ!!! It was soooo worth the wait. I ended up with #1170 of 1200 and found out at the same time he will no longer be taking orders for them. He said he'll make a few throughout the year but not like he used to. Of course I had to go ahead and get the case with the axe sleeve and some bucksaw butter. The quality is amazing, thank you for introducing it to us!
Like your hat... well, my daughters love this channel and they are getting into camping more because of this channel. They try out what they see and trying to learn more. Thanks for the wonderful videos.
HI ALEXIS 👋 LOVE ALL YOUR VIDEOS 📹 WHETHER YOUR FIRST CHANNEL OR WITH YOUR NEW ONE WITH YOU & YOUR FAMILY , HUBBY ! YOU'RE GREAT AT WHAT YOU DO ARE INTRESTED IN ! LOVE ❤️ WHILE YOU ARE GETTING AWAY SO ARE WE WITH YOU OR YOU BOTH . BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! ENJOYED ❤️ GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS ON YOUR ADVENTURES 😊 🙏 THANK YOU 😊 🙏 ALWAYS SHOWING US NEW EQUIPMENT OR WAYS TO IT DIFFERENTLY & SAFER .
Cowabunga.! It's snowing in the background & you reckon it's superwarm..? You're one bad ass tough mama.! Did you just slurp on that coffee.?! Anyway lots of avenues that that tickles your fancy but that horse training would be awesome. We love Tiber Mate. Just do what you can mate, stay safe & keep rockin'.! Warm cheers from Australia.
Love to hear that you want to do what you want to do rather than what the algorithm and audience demands. Not following one's own head more then oftern leads to creator burnout. I've seen it SO many time. Keep this coming, cuz it is wonderful to see what you want to do and feel good about it.
I have been following you for more than a year. In the past year, I have watched your work getting better and better. I am really happy for you. I came here from the wooden videos you and your husband made. You have two accounts I'm paying attention to, I hope you will continue to do better content for us!
Thanks for the video. Edibles and medicinal wild plants are a very interesting topic. The hat looks great and the Garmin is good to have. Hope you guys are doing well. Stay safe and be happy.
You mentioned Herbalism. I started studying medicinal/edible wild plants years ago when I took up wilderness canoe/camping. I was just in Shopper's Drug Mart a few weeks ago and noticed an issue of "National Geographic Herbal Remedies" which I will pick up a few copies next time I'm in there. Best to remember though, some injuries/maladies are best left to modern medicine, but it's good to know some usefool plants in the wild if needed. Safe travels...
I like the camping videos and even though I don't own a horse I would be interested in a few horse training videos. Keep doing what u want your Tru audience will stay with you cause you make quality videos.
Love the hat!!! I also love the channel Timbermates...hopefully some videos will come out soon. Maybe some canoe adventures as well. I was hoping you guys would do a canoe race again that was so fun!!!
I can appreciate what you’re saying I have horses I enjoy the back country pack and horses backpack or canoeing and hunting fishing or just exploring and I deal with a cold here in Alaska
Nice! Wasn't expecting you to have the gear I just purchased. Nice to see it all in action! Thought the cup was smaller than that, may purchase one now!
Thank You, it was delightful & really great to see YA again! I will be intrigued to Sub to your guy's Ch. on the home build. Just outstanding as is your personal Host Demeanor. Always wishing the Very Best to you both! This Video Shared with pleasure. As Always, Blessings your way from Oregon! ... Mike.
I went to a riding camp in Sutton, in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, when I was in my early teens. They held the equestrian Olympic events in that area in 1976. The camp was called Westwood Stables. The region is also a great place in the winter for glade skiing. The Westwood Stables staff also trained horses. I have no idea how to train horses, or any other animal, for that matter. My bad... 😞
Nice serene video, Careena. Been wanting to get a twig stove and each time I see you use yours makes me that much closer to pulling the trigger. Love the hat, looks great! Do what makes you happy. When doing this becomes more of a chore than something you enjoy, its time to rethink priorities. The only ones you need to be true to are yourself and your family.😉
Couple things what ever you choose to film and put out cool, keep it up. For horse's have you ever trained or worked with someone logging with work horse's., on your timbermates channel is the kid still working for you. Have a blessed day.
Pretty cool. I sometimes pack a twig stove and small pour over and mug made of collapsable silicon on solo MTB rides right in my Camelback. Thought I was the only one.
Nice video! Thunder storms last night with temperatures in the low 60's here in Northern Pa today, this evening its 22 degrees and snowing. Crazy winter for sure. We would enjoy watching you work with horses.
Feels like the end of am ice age this winter 😅 End of February & now into March is just like this. Was out today from sun up to down hiking and exploring, beautiful ti walk through the forest with no bugs, no leaves and maximum visibility with the sun shining 🌞 Cheers! from Ontario Canada 🍁 ❤
Horse training videos would be super awesome to see, just sayin ;) I also agree that putting out content that you are enjoying is going to be the best and the most enjoyable for us to watch, so don't stress about the algorithm or what everyone else thinks, do what you enjoy and everything else will fall in line :)
You do a great job on video and showing off the gear that you use . Do what you like doing and who cares what the people think or want, it's your show . Keep up the hard work on videos and hurry up get another one out. I grew up on farm and ranch and love the horse traing idea . Hell Yeah.. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🪓🔪👍👍
I like your hat because I have the same one. 😊 it will be interesting to see what you do next. Always love your videos. I find them therapeutic. Good for the soul.
Great video! As a longtime Garmin user I upgraded to the Garmin 67i last year and I really like it. I'm never out in wild places without it. Looking forward to your review at some point.
How dare you do things that make you happy and bring you joy! This. Is. An. Outrage! I'll keep watching all your videos, but I don't have to like it... except I'll still hit the like button, because, well, your videos are all pretty dope
I enjoy your videos very much. Don't mind you changing it up. it makes it more interesting, you are definitely not boring. I do like the overnight hot tent adventures. Thanks for sharing and play safe, princess.
Hello Careena. The first video I watched of yours was the motorbike camping one where you used a tarp. The reason I was drawn to the video is because I am interested in camping and plan to do a four month non -stop camp travelling around the UK so was doing research and stumbled on the video, but as I watched I thought oh this person has a cool personality. The video's I have enjoyed the most are the ones where you seem to be doing something you are enjoying, for instance, the one I enjoyed the most was the challenge between you and Brad with the kayaking and hikeing the portage's where Brad smoked you. (Wonder if that still hurts LOL). I suppose what I am saying is that I watch the videos because of your personality not so much because of what you are doing. Although I do enjoy the camping videos I have also watched yours and Brad's channel.
I watch Careena because I like her. The content is less important than thought process and presentation. I have worn out the bushcraft subject years ago and am searching for a related topic. edit - Pickled Slim Jim Peppers! How about a little garden with different kinds of Peppers, Tomatoes, Onions, Cucumbers, Raspberries ect. Apple (Walty) and pear trees...any kind of trees...flowering? Chicken wire? Horses are cool! Saint Johns Wort? Making a trailer for motorcycle? Cedar hedges(cloning) Tee Pee Campout in the yard (like Red Fisher Scuttle Butt Lodge) Starting seeds indoor with T5 lights. The way to get a green thumb is by handling green things. The more to touch, the greener it gets. Just rambling Careena. I will be happy to watch and cheer your transformation.
great video. As always! Thank you so much. I tried a gps unit….it works, but you know how you have to be aware where you are..visually when you are in the woods? Well I have never gotten lost in over 50 years of travelling in the bush. Honest. I have known people that got lost with a gps unit. I am sure you do not need it. I
Careena do what makes you happy always enjoy your videos and timbermates as well i usually learn something new on both channels maybe have a 3rd channel ( i know you are going ugh) horses and herbs looking forward to the next one
Gotta check out Mountain Rose Herbs in Eugene Oregon. Excellent, Top resource for Herbalism. Also happy to hear you are back into training horses. Would luv to see that on your channel.
👍👍👍 .. nice outing 😊. To really 'soup' (tune up) that coffee up, a pinch of salt will reduce the bitterness and 'sweeten it' and if feeling especially adventurous, a dollop of honey Honey Whiskey adds some 'character' .. just saying 😏. Please, just do what you enjoy .. that which makes you happy. To steal from the Movie 'Field of Dreams' .. "Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come." Continue doing what you do well .. 'they / we will follow ..' Take care ..
Hey Careena! Nice video! I enjoyed listening to what you had to say. I understand well about prioritizing your interests and what you like doing the most. Say you like to work with horses? Of course I love horses, I'm from Texas. Imagine that lol. But if you want to video doing that too, I'm sure all of your subs would support you. I know I will! If my wife enjoyed these adventures as as much as you do I would be out camping alot more. But with her, if there ain't no bathroom she's not going 😂. But I do enjoy it and go as much as I can. I mostly do truck camping. I have a tent but I hardly ever use it. Maybe once in a while. Anyhow, you keep doing what you like to do and you'll be a happy person for it! Love your videos and looking forward to your next adventure!!
Just keep doing you. Your appreciation and love of the outdoors, your passions and genuineness is why I’m a fan. Stay encouraged.
I really appreciate your kind words!! Thank you so much
Never do what your audience is interested in. Do what YOU'RE interested in and the audience for those things will follow.
Maybe. She probably relies on these videos financially.
@@jfjf5525 ....................... She trains horses and has a logging business.

I love my Firebox twig stove. It's the gen 2 stainless steel version, but twig stoves are awesome. Amazing how little fuel you need to cook a meal. 👍👍
Awesome! Firebox is OG for sure. I definitely need practice with feeding these things though, I snuffed it out too often lol
@Careena Alexis I finally got my bucksaw from DJ!!! It was soooo worth the wait. I ended up with #1170 of 1200 and found out at the same time he will no longer be taking orders for them.
