Thanks for the awesome videos. I am moving from playing hooker 15 years ago to inside center today. Big changes in play and needed to get these drills to improve the back line skills like passing and stepping.
Really awesome bro...its the only place where one can find the conclusion of any skill...and in the end of the video, that summary part makes to store the data in subconscious mind... Thanks a lot... Please keep posting new stuff....among one of the biggest fan of yours🙌. And here is the question, could you please teach about 7s defense in the next video?
Great videos mate. Would love a video about the changes in uniforms over time. Massive changes early from just wearing caps to jerseys, shorts and socks we have today
Thanks very much for this. My 7yo lad has just started Rugby and as a Dad whose never played this has helped massively! What would you advise if left handed? Stick to same drill or swap power/rear hand to left?
So having the ability to pass off both hands is becoming the standard for most young rugby players. As a 7yo you'll be amazed at how quickly he'll pick it up. The left and right hand passes are just mirror images of each other. So passing to the Left = Right hand supplies the power at the back of the ball, Left hand provides the guide at the front. And passing to the Right = Left hand supplies the power at the back of the ball, Right hand provides the guide at the front. If he is left hand dominant he will probably find it easier passing to the right. But plenty of practice passing to the Left will make sure he's competent on both! Hope that helps 😃
@@user-cs8xm8hm4y I recommend starting from the waist when you are learning because it gives a consistent reference point to begin the movement. When you add in running and passing you can have the ball between the hip and your chest. Have a play around with it and find what position works for you. The aim is to get a consistent pass so you commit it to muscle memory 👌😁

A few ways to add power: - making sure you finish with your hands all the way towards the target and not stopping short - punching your shoulder towards the targert as you pass so its not just your arms - using your feet to push into the pass Hope this helps Clemence
Hi Mate , Very useful video, I need to work on my pass to the right which is weak, I have about 3 weeks to get ready for a tournament, could you share some tips , specially the amount of practice that I have to do. Thanks again !
Hey, so you can pass off either foot in rugby and the nature of games you'll have to do this. But normally when people are learning, they are taught to have their outside foot forward when catching the ball. You can then step off your inside foot to do a one step pass.
@@luketreharneTi7s Thanks for responding, I was wondering how to improve power in my weak hand? 15s has finished and it’s now 7s and I find that my weak hand is good for 5-10 metre spin passes but when I’m trying to launch the ball it doesn’t spin correctly or it falls short.
@@fifamonstar3343 so theres a few ways to generate more power. Using your footwork is one, stepping into the pass will add power when going over 10ms. Also really punching shoulders to the target and following all the way through with your hands. If its not spinning properly you're likely leaving go of the ball when its not pointing at the target. You could also be twisting too much to try and generate the power from your torso.
