    Assop raps in the wierd string of metaphors to tell a story. Its a fucking mental style.
    Daylight and night light are opposites of a story telling thier version. It's two perspectives of the same story. They cross over. 🔥🔥🔥🔥

    I remember playing this song for one of my friends (who was a Japanese exchange student), and told me the beat was sampled off of a popular Japanese rap song. I don’t remember the name or the song, but I’m pretty sure if did a little bit of some research, you’d probably find it.

    • @interactivereactions
      @interactivereactions  2 роки тому +1

      So, quick research shows that he sampled Eric Gayle “she is my lady”, Tony scott “after the snow, the fragrance” and of course digital underground… nightlight is all original save the “day turns night” sample from Aesop’s on track “wake up call”… perhaps the Japanese song sampled Eric Gayle? 🤔

      @@interactivereactions sht, it was by AWOL one rhythm. Dose one is the weird battle mc who did tracks with aesop rock. By the way, aesop rock is one of my top 5 favorite mcs of all time with the album labor days being my all time favorite album ever. Good choice, you guys should do some tracks off of Organized konfusions Stress too.

    You can thank Blockhead for some of these early beats. And he's still around working with Aes occasionally. Kiss the Cook is a recent one.

    Perfect tag in the thumbnail especially if by coincidence, Aes has a song called 9-5ers Anthem.

    • @interactivereactions
      @interactivereactions  3 роки тому

      I wasn’t thinking about 9-5ers when I came up with it but I do love that song… “yawn and stretch and my life is a mess, if I don’t make home tonight God bless” … it was so relatable at that time
