New subscriber here thanks for the content, if you don't mind can you suggest me earbuds or iems good for playing fps comp? anything similar to the size of Apple earbuds (the ones with the jack) it's the only thing I can wear for 8 hours straight without feeling pain or the need to remove. I'm using a Zen Dac v2 and I feel I should upgrade. Budget 300 Help pls
I love the iem videos! I got myself the moondrop aria snows and I love them! I’m curious if you’ve ever used the raptgo hook x hbb? They look super cool and I love that their open back but I haven’t had the chance to try them
I have the hook x, the hook x hbb and the blessing 2. overall wall hack verified. Also not much difference with the Raptgo x hbb with sound signature. First time picking them up is eehhhh but in game is different. Better sound stage for the Raptgo hook x than the blessing 2.
That’s really interesting, I heard people enjoy the spacious soundstage with them, sadly they’re not in stock anywhere so I ended up getting the blessings 3 for $260 on 11.11 so far I’m happy with them.

I found them very universal, detailed and easy to listen. For the rest there is an EQ ;) After S12 planar hype disapointment Im finaly happy! Thanx for the review!
Thats super hard for me to answer, but considering your current headphones, you might like the regular Blessing 2 if you want a really neutral sound. I think they perform well across games, but I think they can be a bit boring in open world stuff, so I'd opt for the Blessing 3, or save money and go for the Kato, or save even more money and get the Aria 2. Personally I use the Variations due to having great technicalities while having a nice sub bass. For INTENSITY I actually use the Heartfield Acoustic Deer. For a regular funner sound and GREAT comfort, I like Seekreal Airship. Hard to really pin point a set of IEMs for ya, but I hope I got a ball park for you to work with. Knowing what sound you like is one part, and I can assume you play shooters from them, but I who knows, maybe you might want a V-shaped or even U shaped sound again. Sound be subjective, so this is always the hardest question for me to answer. Same thing for comfort with IEMs due to ear shapes also varying so much.

Why are audiophiles continuously saying you want highs and mids for competitive gaming? Top 2 apex IGL's use bassy earbuds from Sennheiser and Bose. The rest use gaming headsets. Good gamers use bassy cans with thick mids. Why? Because while it's a cool idea to have treble shimmering over everything, you need a sense of distance to those sounds. The lower frequencies give you a better intuition/feel of how far an enemy is when in combat. It's not that complicated. Also with the Fletcher Munson curve, it makes sense to use V shaped iems because *surpris* you can listen to lower volumes and still have a natural sound, allowing you to not have to wreck your ears with mids. You're either in a situation where you're fighting and then you want a good bass to give you a sense of distance to footsteps. You don't need to hear someone 5 miles away in that moment, you need to know exactly where the enemy is. Then if you're not in fighting, things will be quiet enough that you can hear further away sounds anyways.
Ahh, I should have been getting my audio peripheral advice from top igls...So by that token, I should be getting my igl'ing advice from audiophiles then...

Try to change cable to 6n or 8n 19-30wire. Subbass and midbass it more qulity than stock cable.
I use moondrop katos for ps5 with the steelseries dac and it’s very good and easy to pinpoint

I think the different is, because gamer tends tto use bassy Headphone while some audiophile prefer more clear and natural
