I appreciate your commentary on the bass for the B3’s. It seems like most reviews don’t understand the unique quality of the opposed bass drivers in this IEM. They tend to think that because there’s two drivers, it should have basshead levels of bass and they end up being disappointed when they don’t get that. The unique bass driver setup does exactly what you described, not what other reviewers think it should do. Thanks for setting the record straight. 👍🏻
Thumps up, just because you actually show me how they look wearing them, thanks! Most reviews handle the product like a treasure that can only be pictured in controlled environment.
For me Moondrop Blessing 3 seems to be the ultimate best iem! I will manage to buy one to have a high end iem. I cannot afford a Monarch MK2. Thank you Dave for excellent review, as usual!
These are my first IEMs, and my initial impression was one of being overwhelmed by the sheer level of detail-they sounded incredibly bright, which led to some listening fatigue, although I did appreciate the precise bass response. Over time, they don’t sound as bright as they initially did; there's still a hint of brightness, but in a way that enhances the sound rather than causing discomfort. Now, I’m starting to notice areas in the mids that could use more resolution, especially when paired with my Apple dongle. My biggest issue, however, is with the fit-the tips tend to fall out of my right ear when I move. The medium size is more comfortable but also slips out, while the large ones feel too big and don’t stay in place either.
Thanks for the impressions. I would try another source, the Apple dongle is not a good pairing for the Blessing 3. Also alternative tips may help with your diet and discomfort. A few dongle suggestions, Periodic Audio Rhodium, Hiby FC3, Moondrop Dawn 4.4, Hidizs XO. Fosi Audio SD2. A few tip suggestions, CTM Flexi, Divinus Velvet, TRI Clarion, Tangzu Sancai.
Expecting mine tomorrow. I equed my timesless to neutral and realised that the vocals of my music is heavily impacted by too much bass. All my IEMs are bassy and these will be my first natural set. Excited!!
@thaflybear, sorry for the wait. It was a huge shock for me. Very natural sounding and vocal songs sounded good. The problem was when I listen to my favourite music and the bass wasn't hitting like it should. Also I couldn't blast it at high volume because of the ear gain. Great review, Dave; thanks! I love the Moondrop Kato and the Dunu Titan S (dissimilar, I know, but I love both of those and know that you’re familiar with them). Am I likely to love the Blessing 3, as well?
Thank you David! Great Video! Could please tell me difference and your preference between blessing 3 and variations? Which is to go? Does worth to pay more for variations? Can you tell me which one has more details and texture? Thanks a lot!
Keep in mind I haven't heard the Variations since I reviewed a long time ago. If my memory servers me correctly, the Variations have a slight bass tuck and sound thinner, treble is slightly laidback, slightly better details and resolution, tone and timbre is not as natural and the presentation is somewhat boring in comparison. Both are excellent but I would choose the Blessing 3 over the Variations. Here is a link to my Variations review: ua-cam.com/video/p5GbAkdr498/v-deo.html
Hi Dave, I have been awaiting this review as I based my purchase of the Kato heavily on your review. I have really enjoyed the Kato. Do you feel that the B3 takes the tuning of the Kato and improves upon it or is it a totally different animal. I am looking for a direct upgrade to the Kato. Could you possibly compare the two? Thanks in advance
Kato is a tad warmer, has slightly fuller note weight in the lower mids and has a little less treble extension. The Blessing 3 is more detailed, better resolving, has a little more energy and sparkle up top but controlled. Overall the Blessing 3 is an improvement on the Kato sound signature.

Again, the Zetian Wu is a compliment to the Blessing 3 but a very different presentation.
@@TheHonestAudiophile thank you so much for your explanation Dave. If you don’t mind me asking for another explanation, if i find myself enjoying the sound of the Zetian Wu’s more over my Top, what does this say about my interest in sound signature? I have been going back and forth between my two IEMs and I’ve been trying to understand the difference between the two and which one I enjoy the most. I found myself enjoying the Zetian Wu’s more but I do feel like the Top has more detail but I’m not sure if that’s just me making that up or not. I’m not sure if you ever listened to the IE 300s, but the initial start of my collection actually came from trying to find a pair of IEMs most similar to those. I had to return my 300s because of receiving 2 pairs back to back with QC problems. The next pair I was eying were the Hook X or the Blessing 3 dusk when they come out hehe
Seems that you prefer a bassier, warm and full presentation. The Top is more detailed and resolving and doesn't have as much warmth and fullness as it leans more to a neutral tuning than the Zetian Wu.
@@TheHonestAudiophile thank you so much for the clarification, I know the Hook X is v-curved and on the bassier side as well, so I’ll aim to get that. And then just to have variety, I’ll get the dusk 3 when they drop :) thank you so much sir
I listen to a ton of female kpop, classical music and want to also use it for recording and mixing guitar tracks. Does this set of IEMs sound like a good buy for my needs?
@@TheHonestAudiophile Then I'm getting them! Thanks for your input and wonderful review. I'm super excited and will post my impressions once they arrive :)
Good morning ☕️ Listening, having a ☕️💊…and thinking what IEM I want to rock today … I’m thinking KATO 😊 . These look interesting..tho I hear , much like the DUSK ..Crin’s going to do a tuning on this as well. Hey THA! Ive recently watched your Lethsouer S12 review from a year ago and wanted to ask if you know if theres any sound difference to the S12 PRO? Have you listened to the pro version? Some people say theres a difference and some say theres none.
The Pro version is damped and smoother in the upper mids, it has tuning foam in the nozzle. That's the real difference. The lower upper mids means it has a thicker sound and a subjective perceived increase in bass although my one specifically measures with identical bass to the OG S12. The damped upper mids are notable though. It is a less fatiguing and more balanced listen but at the same time loses some of the zing, excitement and technical performance of the OG. Both are great. It's also not a huge difference, it's a subtle tweak to the same IEM.
In your opinion, is there any music player comparable to the FiiO M11 Plus, I mean music quality ? Only cheaper ? If so, what's the difference in terms of sound quality? thank you very much for your answer translate via google translate, sorry
In the video is a link to my benchmark gear and music. Here is a link to a write-up about it as well:www.thehonestaudiophile.com/post/honest-audiophile-reference-gear-and-music For IEM I test them on all sorts of dongles, DAP's and desktop. WIth the Blessing 3 it wasn't picky at all, was very revealing of differences in sound signatures of sources. I recommend the Hiby FC3, Moondrop Dawn, Hidizs XO, AudioEngine DAC3 for dongles, Hiby R5 gen2, Sony NW-A105 for DAP and Mytek Liberty DAC ii, Aune X1GT, JDS Labs Atom+ for desktop.
I see you have the R70x in the back, I love my R70x, they are my studio workhorse (which I preferred over the hd600 when buying). How would you compare the Blessing 3 to the r70x in the way of sound and stage?
Not a fair comparison as the R70x is a headphone and the Blessing 3 is an IEM. The R70x is larger in size overall, has a more airy approach. The Blessing 3 is a smaller presentation but still has good airy and space. The Blessing 3 is more precise in placement. But keep in mind the presentations are way different and compliment each other.
@TheHonestAudiophile Thanks so much for sharing. I'd also like to say I really appreciate your approach to painting a picture of your experience in your reviews. When you talk about airiness, not overpowering bass, and well defined details/presence are reassuring to me, it is actually my first impression and amazement with the R70x. Since I am a musician I need something reliable to understanding what I am producing, monitoring/referencing, I am not looking for perfection but it is is good enough for me. Also in the way of airiness I actually picked the r70x over the HD600's because of this, I thought the HD600 fell behind in this aspect and a bit too dark for me. And of course the R70x are just godly comfortable headphone to have on my head. I don't have any experience with IEM's, though I do imagine it to be a different experience having something play directly in the ear canal, like it's exciting for me that there there might be better bass transfer in an IEM than headphone, but it would be important for me that it isn't exaggerated.
hello, I would like to buy FiiO M11 plus how to use it not at home but outside in the field: Spotify, online ? How to listen to spotify online while away from home ? Does the FiiO M11 plus have a mobile phone card slot ? Thank you very much
I've not heard Blessing 3 since I reviewed it. If memory serves me correctly, B3 has more elevated mids and treble that can be bright to those sensitive, stage is wider, details and resolution are slightly better on B3 and tone and timber is slightly better on Hype 4.
@@TheHonestAudiophile I was thinking to get B3 and EQ bass by Low shelf of 4 db. Or buy Hype 4 alone. I prefer forward yet melodic vocals not thin vocals. And good bass for Edm & Rock. Thanks for the quick reply. Love you
Thanks for the review. I've had the B3's for a little while and I'm enjoying them a lot. Question: Would you recommend upgrading the tips and if so, which ones?
Hi Dave, i do have b3 and thinking for upgrade, how do you compare b3 with xenns Top in terms of the mids and tech, is it a good upgrade? Or i should jump to Monarch mk2 or mest 2 territory? Thanks before
Xenns Mangird Top has more bass impact, slightly warmer, similar detail retrieval and resolution, slightly smaller stage but similar depth, layering and placement. The Blessing 3 is more neutral and technical and Top has a more fun approach with details and resolution. They compliment each other more than upgrade. I've not heard the Monarch mkii or Mest 2.
I really want to buy this buy my Moondrop Kato cable got green corrosion and worried that it might happen to blessing's iem. maybe I will buy it one year from now to see other's review after 1 year of buying it.
Hey there! Could you tell me which 4.4 cable is better to buy for these iems? I have heard that stock cable ia cheap and bad. I hace hiby r3 ii. Want monitor sound like to hear tracks how they were made. Also looking for the dusk but dont like the idea its only dsp thing.Thank you!
@@TheHonestAudiophile Thats interesting. I heard many ppl complain about it and even they claimed that after they changed the cable iems becomes much better. Could you anyway suggest 4.4 cable for this?
@semyon846 I've not had good experience with the cheap alternative cables. Other companies that make quality cables that I've used are ThieAudio (available on Linsoul), Clear Tune Monitor (CTM) and ADV-Sound.
How are vocals on the Blessing 3? I've heard they sound "thin" and and it sounds like they have a thinner note weight than the Studio4s, but I'm wondering if that's a deal breaker.
Not a deal breaker for me. The note weight is pretty good on Blessing 3, not as thin as it was on the Blessing 2. Studio4 do have a little more note weight as I mentioned in the comparison.
Bravery is warmer, has more bass impact, is a bit more v-shaped and is a little less detailed and resolving. Bravery is a solid option, the Blessing 3 is a differnt presentation.
Blessing 3 has more detail and better resolution, more extension in bass and treble, a more full and accurate note weight, little more sparkle and energy, wider, deeper stage with more precise imaging. The Blessing 3 is more refined and defined. This is not to say the Orchestra Lite is a slouch because it isn't, it is a very good IEM for it's price point.
I am not sure if it adds much to my collection. I do like how they approach the bass configuration. Should I sell my 2s and buy the 3s. Let me think about it.
Blessing 3 does pretty good, especially in comparison to Blessing 2, for rock and metal in my opinion but those genres aren't my main listen. Tea 2 does edge out for metal though.
Oracle mk2 is a very good IEM but is brighter and more aggressive in presentation, especially in the upper mids and treble. The Oracle is similar in detail retrieval, separation and layering but the Blessing 3 is better resolving.
@@TheHonestAudiophile so do you think buying blessing 3 is improvement to the oracles that i have if i want a thinner note weight and lighter bass or they are similar in these areas?
Thanks Dave❗️🔆So everybody is mentioning very good subbass but the too lean midbass, you don’t . I am still subconsciously waitin for the B3dusk BTW really love the Meteor, for me feels like buyin little Ferrari😆♥️🙋♂️👍
Hi Dave Do you have a specific Bass range? I mean, these IEMs basically have DD then the rest are just addons I supposed. Or does it depend on the genre? Which IEM do you think has the best tuning for you so far? The TRN TA1 only has 1DD+Knowles BA yet for me the Bass is solid on highs though of course it doesn't have much trebble which is ok. Then again I'm wondering what's your daily IEM driver? 🤗🥰
Bass Range - 20hz-300hz lower bass 20hz-80hz mid bass 80hz-150hz upper bass 150hz-300hz The bass of the Moondrop Blessing 3 is about quality over quantity. The bass technology inside the Blessing 3 is unique in comparison to any other IEM, it is a horizontally-opposed double-dynamic bass driver module. The Blessing 3 is very natural and neutral in it's bass but on genres that have a lot of synthesized or digitized bass it doesn't have the power and drive like some more bassy IEM. When playing acoustical, classical, jazz and more natural styles the bass is clean, clear and well defined. I've not heard the TRN TA1 My daily driver IEM is the CTM Da Vinci X. I also use a lot of others because of comparisons for upcoming reviews and answering questions/comments.
I haven't heard the FH9 since review and I honestly don't recall enough to compare. Here is a link to my review: ua-cam.com/video/k5lNpLTLbNg/v-deo.html
Sterile - Reproduced sound that is presented in a tidy, clean, transparent manner but lacks natural reproduction Blessing 3 isn't sterile in my opinion, it has a natural tone. As for the bass, the 2 dynamic drivers aren't for the quantity but for the quality. The Blessing 3 reproduces bass very accurately with tone, detail, resolution.
@@TheHonestAudiophile The instruments like viola, trombone, saxophone, acoustic guitar and male vocals sounds not full bodied for my taste - for me this is not natural. They are lean. But female vocals are great.
@yevheniibatiievskyi I don't disagree that note weight could be better but I don't find it to be lean for a hybrid it's pretty close to being natural accurate imho. As I mentioned in the comparisons, the Studio 4 has better note weight and the Blessing 2 is lean. We all hear differently, lots of variables cause us to hear differently like music, source gear, ear quality, listening experience, training, etc. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Hello, I'm about to buy my first high-end earbuds, I'm wondering between Moondrop Kato and Moondrop Blessing 3. Are Moondrop Blessing 3 so much better musically... than Moondrop Kato ? Which should I choose? I mainly listen to calm deep jazz, calm electronic music, synthesizers. I really like the music that is detailed, warm, with deep, non-aggressive bass, wide, spacious, airy, gentle natural sound, no boredom. Regards and thank you very much for your answer.
@@TheHonestAudiophile Thank you for honest and true comparisons and descriptions of audio equipment, I always admire with respect. Thank you very much and best regards again.
Indeed. This is a quality over quantity bass.
My pleasure you're welcome.

@@Qui11o Sounds like a plan. Look forward to hearing your impressions.
I listen to a ton of female kpop, classical music and want to also use it for recording and mixing guitar tracks. Does this set of IEMs sound like a good buy for my needs?
Yes, the Moondrop Blessing 3 would fill all your intended purposes in my opinion.
@@TheHonestAudiophile Then I'm getting them! Thanks for your input and wonderful review. I'm super excited and will post my impressions once they arrive :)
Awesome 👍 Look forward to hearing your impressions.
Good morning ☕️
Listening, having a ☕️💊…and thinking what IEM I want to rock today … I’m thinking KATO 😊 .
These look interesting..tho I hear , much like the DUSK ..Crin’s going to do a tuning on this as well.
I’ve recently got the RED…this should be interesting 🤔
Take care and have a great rest of the week ☕️🔥🍕👍
I've not heard the Dusk.
Kato is a solid performer.
Look forward to your impressions of the Red.
Hope you have a good and blessed week :)
Hey THA! Ive recently watched your Lethsouer S12 review from a year ago and wanted to ask if you know if theres any sound difference to the S12 PRO? Have you listened to the pro version? Some people say theres a difference and some say theres none.
I've not heard the S12 Pro. Sorry.
@@blorg8206 Oh okay thank you so much for the clear information, now i know exactly what to expect.
In your opinion, is there any music player comparable to the FiiO M11 Plus, I mean music quality ? Only cheaper ?
If so, what's the difference in terms of sound quality?
thank you very much for your answer
translate via google translate, sorry
I don't have a ton of experience with DAP but the one that I recommend is the Hiby R5 gen 2 for a lower price. Sonically the R5 is slightly warmer.
hello, what would you recommend a DAC for Blessing 3 to make it perform the best?
In the video is a link to my benchmark gear and music. Here is a link to a write-up about it as well:www.thehonestaudiophile.com/post/honest-audiophile-reference-gear-and-music
For IEM I test them on all sorts of dongles, DAP's and desktop.
My pleasure you're welcome. I'm glad you find the channel content helpful.
I totally understand your thoughts on the R70x and HD600.
Hey, how do you think blessings 3 are compared to aful performer 8s? I'm really split between the 2 right now
Sorry haven't heard AFUL P8
hello,
I would like to buy FiiO M11 plus how to use it not at home but outside in the field: Spotify, online ?
How to listen to spotify online while away from home ?
Does the FiiO M11 plus have a mobile phone card slot ?
Thank you very much
M11 Plus requires a wifi connection when using a streaming service, it doesn't have a sim or cell connection
Between Blessing 3 Vs Hype 4?
I've not heard Blessing 3 since I reviewed it. If memory serves me correctly, B3 has more elevated mids and treble that can be bright to those sensitive, stage is wider, details and resolution are slightly better on B3 and tone and timber is slightly better on Hype 4.
@@TheHonestAudiophile I was thinking to get B3 and EQ bass by Low shelf of 4 db. Or buy Hype 4 alone.
I prefer forward yet melodic vocals not thin vocals. And good bass for Edm & Rock. Thanks for the quick reply. Love you
@@fuzail3379 my pleasure, you're welcome. Look forward to hearing your impressions.

can u review the yanyin canon II? thanks
Hopefully can get one in for review, I'm working on it.
@@TheHonestAudiophile ❤
Thanks for the review. I've had the B3's for a little while and I'm enjoying them a lot. Question: Would you recommend upgrading the tips and if so, which ones?
I've not tried any 3rd party tips, I use the stock tips.
@@TheHonestAudiophile wow really thanks for your kindness to your new subscriber, thanks a lot sir 🙏
My pleasure, you're welcome. Thanks for watching, commenting and subscribing.
I really want to buy this buy my Moondrop Kato cable got green corrosion and worried that it might happen to blessing's iem. maybe I will buy it one year from now to see other's review after 1 year of buying it.
Replace the cable lol
Cables are easy to replace and Moondrop makes some nice replacement cables. The Blessing 3 is for sure an upgrade sonically.
I liked the stock cable, had no issues with the quality.
@@TheHonestAudiophile Thats interesting. I heard many ppl complain about it and even they claimed that after they changed the cable iems becomes much better. Could you anyway suggest 4.4 cable for this?
@semyon846 I prefer Effect Audio cables
Do you know any cheap alternative?
Is it way better than seeaudio bravery ae?
Bravery is warmer, has more bass impact, is a bit more v-shaped and is a little less detailed and resolving. Bravery is a solid option, the Blessing 3 is a differnt presentation.
how does it compare with orchestra lite tho?
Blessing 3 has more detail and better resolution, more extension in bass and treble, a more full and accurate note weight, little more sparkle and energy, wider, deeper stage with more precise imaging. The Blessing 3 is more refined and defined. This is not to say the Orchestra Lite is a slouch because it isn't, it is a very good IEM for it's price point.
@@TheHonestAudiophile thank you for the explanation sir
My pleasure, you're welcome.
I am not sure if it adds much to my collection. I do like how they approach the bass configuration. Should I sell my 2s and buy the 3s. Let me think about it.
Good question, kinda depends on what you desire from the 2. Curious what you decide.
Not if you have the dusk
I've not heard the Dusk.
Would you review aful performer 8 in the future?
If an AFUL P8 is provided to the channel or the funds become available, I would gladly listen and review. Thanks for the suggestion.
As now tea 2 is discounted to $200, do you think is it still worth it to get the blessing 3 with the $120 price difference with the tea 2 now?
Tea 2 isn't as detailed and resolving and have a more laid-back presentation. I'd take the Blessing 3 if it was my choice and I only had $200.
@@TheHonestAudiophile Great! Thanks for the answer
Tea 2 is one of my favorites. If you listen to rock or metal the tea 2 is way better than any blessing.
@@Hijynx87 i'm affraid those 2 genres that i never listened to 😅, anyway thanks for your opinion though.
Blessing 3 does pretty good, especially in comparison to Blessing 2, for rock and metal in my opinion but those genres aren't my main listen. Tea 2 does edge out for metal though.
can you compare it to the oracle mk2? like details, separation and layering?
Oracle mk2 is a very good IEM but is brighter and more aggressive in presentation, especially in the upper mids and treble. The Oracle is similar in detail retrieval, separation and layering but the Blessing 3 is better resolving.
@@TheHonestAudiophile so do you think buying blessing 3 is improvement to the oracles that i have if i want a thinner note weight and lighter bass or they are similar in these areas?
Blessing 3 has similar note weight.
@@TheHonestAudiophile thank you for the response, very helpful!
@@Ravendark669 my pleasure, you're welcome
Thanks Dave❗️🔆So everybody is mentioning very good subbass but the too lean midbass, you don’t . I am still subconsciously waitin for the B3dusk BTW really love the Meteor, for me feels like buyin little Ferrari😆♥️🙋♂️👍
You're welcome. Glad you enjoy the Meteor.
Dusk 3 would be interesting, hope to get a chance to review if it is released.
Hi Dave
Do you have a specific Bass range?
I mean, these IEMs basically have DD then the rest are just addons I supposed. Or does it depend on the genre? Which IEM do you think has the best tuning for you so far? The TRN TA1 only has 1DD+Knowles BA yet for me the Bass is solid on highs though of course it doesn't have much trebble which is ok. Then again I'm wondering what's your daily IEM driver? 🤗🥰
Bass Range - 20hz-300hz
lower bass 20hz-80hz
mid bass 80hz-150hz
upper bass 150hz-300hz
The bass of the Moondrop Blessing 3 is about quality over quantity.
I've not heard the TRN TA1
My daily driver IEM is the CTM Da Vinci X. I also use a lot of others because of comparisons for upcoming reviews and answering questions/comments.
How compare Blessing 3 vs Fh9?
I haven't heard the FH9 since review and I honestly don't recall enough to compare. Here is a link to my review:
ua-cam.com/video/k5lNpLTLbNg/v-deo.html
Two dinamic drivers and no bass at all + lean low midrange makes these IEMs sterile for my ear and taste.
Sterile - Reproduced sound that is presented in a tidy, clean, transparent manner but lacks natural reproduction
Blessing 3 isn't sterile in my opinion, it has a natural tone.
Hello,
I'm about to buy my first high-end earbuds, I'm wondering between Moondrop Kato and Moondrop Blessing 3.
