I do work in a prison, and I am a certified corrections officer with FLE exam certificate if we gave more food to the inmates, they’ll be a lot less fights
And better food.... the quality in american prisons barely counts as food. In finland prisoners get the same food as schools (as well as hospitals and in all those food is free) that is basic good home foods. They get nice rye bread with fresh salad salmon pasta potatoes with meatballs and gravy they get "exotic food days" when they caan get mexican indian or african style foods. The food is genuinely good and special diets are always accomodated. They get the same coffee and tea people on tge outside drink. Usually thursday is traditional dessert day and it is often pancakes. How many prison riots have we had? None. Prison fights? Very rare, they do not have to fight over basic human needs. Our system is based on rehabilitation, the ones locked away for more monstrous crimes get humane treatment too. Inprisonment is punishment enough and keeps the guards and fellow inmates safe.

We got domino's, orange chicken, Bosco sticks, they sold cheap giant Choco cookies, got good holiday meals before vacations, and they had bowls of fresh fruit from what I recall too if you were in a rush. Sucks when you watch this and realize how much you take for granted out here. Going to fast food and ordering more than you want or going to the kitchen and grabbing seconds.

I used to watch your videos and it helped me stay on the straight path but I got into some trouble a few months ago and caught myself a misdemeanor. Nothing to serious but I’m worried about being put in jail. I have a lawyer and she’s great and we’ve been working on a reduced sentence which is what I’m truly hoping for. Story is I learned my lesson though. I’m done with crime and messing with other people. Gotta learn to mind my own business and keep to myself. I’ve been in therapy and it helps me a lot but I still struggle sometimes. God bless bob.

Overall the food looks dreadful but I, even being a greedy person, thought the lunch was quite large almost excessive and generally nearly healthy with good amounts of protein from the eggs, adequate carbs and a bit of fun with the two cookies/biscuits, the rest of the meals look like crap. I did not know that Farina could look so repulsive and the fruit and vegetable servings are way too small.
I know prisoners in theory don’t deserve anything special. But I’d much rather all our Ukraine/Israel budget go towards prison reform and homelessness. Our nation is in a spiritual/economic crisis

Man if they don’t get their Christmas Dinner with Roast Turkey, vegetable, pigs in blankets, stuffing, cranberry sauce, cauliflower cheese and Yorkshire pudding & lashings of gravy you can guarantee there will be trouble. I served two years at H.M.P Hewell Grange in Worcestershire U.K and I remember them getting all the stock in ready for the Christmas dinner, even the balloons and party hats. When I asked the other guys inside with me why it’s such a big deal, they said this is their biggest day all year, they miss time with their families, friends obviously alcohol is not allowed unless someone could get some in so if the Kitchen doesn’t serve up a proper traditional Christmas dinner, it’s going to be riots big time. I’m happy to say my one and only Christmas Day spent in jail went without trouble.
When I was in high school we took a tour of the city/county jail. We were served what the inmates were served for lunch. That was 38 years ago. It wasn’t good, but at least there were decent portions. The food was similar to what you show, but the portions were bigger, a lot bigger. I don’t know what our prisons are like. It’s sad what they serve you. The jail served a lot of cheap, white bread and eggs.
It is terrible that some innocent people do time. I have done prison time and county jail time. I committed crimes. Prison is supposed to suck. I appreciate your content dude.

Shoot, I had many meals during my military days that looked similar to these. Our portions were bigger, but we weren't sitting around lounging all day either. Kind of needed the extra calories to replenish what was burnt off training all day.
We had an Italian master cook as the head chef. Worked at a five star resort, for years. We were all happy, man! The entire working dorm. We even got to wear blue jeans. We all played volleyball, and got good at it. We were happy. We all got along. And after, even hooked up with friends. I was the 'Short sentence for lone gunman' headline. We go see, Bob! That they like their guns too, right? I don't know how many animals they killed and hunted. I love animals. Lord Satan is my friend. And I do not know how many people they have shot and killed. And if you think there is no other way than to commit crimes to survive, think outside the box and look around. Get a temp job instead. There are people out there who lost everything due to tragedy and they still manage to get their life back without having to be a criminal. And there is a huge difference between committing crimes to survive and saving your own life. Be resourceful

I beat the case and my lawyer got it dropped to a violation. I’m done with court and done being a dickhead. Last 4 months have been hell

I was thinking along the same lines. The eggs and even the brick of farina could be made edible with the right treatment. Even with their limited choice of ingredients to transform their trays, that could be a pretty interesting video.
You should give us a video of a meal you make with your commissary! I'm interested in seeing what you got up your sleeve.. I'm sure there's something you make that I haven't heard of or seen before
Overall the food looks dreadful but I, even being a greedy person, thought the lunch was quite large almost excessive and generally nearly healthy with good amounts of protein from the eggs, adequate carbs and a bit of fun with the two cookies/biscuits, the rest of the meals look like crap. I did not know that Farina could look so repulsive and the fruit and vegetable servings are way too small.
That lunch was one of the largest, highest quality meals i've seen Bob receive. A fan of the channel must have slipped him a guard tray!

I got a friend doing 30 in Michigan. The stories I hear when he calls once a year on birthday for 30minutes. We don't write much. He said to much on the mind an he's got a life inside so he doesn't care to know much besides all is good. God bless my friend. Jello was added to that I swear 🤔

@@mirandamom1346 not sure about American prisons but in the U.K they have to make sure the food is good otherwise the prisoners kick off and riot, especially Christmas Day. Man if they don’t get their Christmas Dinner with Roast Turkey, vegetable, pigs in blankets, stuffing, cranberry sauce, cauliflower cheese and Yorkshire pudding & lashings of gravy you can guarantee there will be trouble. I served two years at H.M.P Hewell Grange in Worcestershire U.K and I remember them getting all the stock in ready for the Christmas dinner, even the balloons and party hats. When I asked the other guys inside with me why it’s such a big deal, they said this is their biggest day all year, they miss time with their families, friends obviously alcohol is not allowed unless someone could get some in so if the Kitchen doesn’t serve up a proper traditional Christmas dinner, it’s going to be riots big time. I’m happy to say my one and only Christmas Day spent in jail went without trouble.
When I was in high school we took a tour of the city/county jail. We were served what the inmates were served for lunch. That was 38 years ago. It wasn’t good, but at least there were decent portions. The food was similar to what you show, but the portions were bigger, a lot bigger. I don’t know what our prisons are like. It’s sad what they serve you. The jail served a lot of cheap, white bread and eggs.

It is terrible that some innocent people do time. I have done prison time and county jail time. I committed crimes. Prison is supposed to suck. I appreciate your content dude.
Its wild cause some states feed you great and some feed bread and water just enough that you wouldn't starve to death but you're definitely under/malnutritioned😮

Shoot, I had many meals during my military days that looked similar to these. Our portions were bigger, but we weren't sitting around lounging all day either. Kind of needed the extra calories to replenish what was burnt off training all day.

We had an Italian master cook as the head chef. Worked at a five star resort, for years. We were all happy, man! The entire working dorm. We even got to wear blue jeans. We all played volleyball, and got good at it. We were happy. We all got along. And after, even hooked up with friends. I was the 'Short sentence for lone gunman' headline. We go see, Bob! That they like their guns too, right? I don't know how many animals they killed and hunted. I love animals. Lord Satan is my friend. And I do not know how many people they have shot and killed. Perhaps even like you, Bob. When we are acting less than human.
I wish it was worse. Really get people thinking about being good hard working honest people. Make them feel the old saying ' don't do the crime if you can't do the time'

Good idea on these videos to show people the reality of how hard prison is… and to stay away from being a prisoner. Just be a good person and don’t commit crimes. And if you think there is no other way than to commit crimes to survive, think outside the box and look around. Get a temp job instead. There are people out there who lost everything due to tragedy and they still manage to get their life back without having to be a criminal. And there is a huge difference between committing crimes to survive and saving your own life. Be resourceful

What pays for it all right? Investment into a structured business proposals that insiders can do and make happen for a better standard of living and better food. Like deep dish food trays, if you are trained or know how to cook. Wraps and burittos, packaged and boxed. It could help feed children in schools.
