    Cuenca looks absolutely magical. I hope Ecuador is able to become safer and more stable in the near future.

    Re, I'd match the climate here in Xels, Guatemala with any city. Guatemsla's 2nd largest city is safe, beautiful, low cost of living, and the weather is awesome ! Great video my friend !

    Medellin, nope, Cuenca and Boquete yup yup. Many leaving Colombia now, Ecuador safety concerns although Cuenca is considered safe, leaving Boquete as top pick. Panama is hard to compete with for a retirement destination as the government has really optimized their retirement visa and made it an incredible retirement option.

      Panama is too humid and hot for some of us. Same with cities in Colombia with air pollution. Except maybe for PEREIRA that no one talks much about.

      Why are people leaving Colombia and do you know where they are going?

      @@adventurefreaksss Actually I don't know why personally. But videos discuss that Medellin has terrible traffic and congestion, and has humidity and serious air pollution.

      Not many stay in Panama long term ( 5+ years ) not to mention it's difficult getting permanent residency and citizenship.

    It all depends on what type of weather you like. That eternal spring climate? Every day Summer? Rainy and cold weather?

    does it rain and if so when in these destinations?

    • @adventurefreaksss
      @adventurefreaksss  28 днів тому +1

      The rainy seasons in these locations generally occur during different times of the year:
      Cuenca, Ecuador: Cuenca experiences a wet season typically from October to May, with the heaviest rainfall usually occurring from January to April.
      Medellín, Colombia: Medellín has two rainy seasons, typically from March to May and from October to November. However, rainfall can occur throughout the year, with generally drier periods from December to February and June to September.
      Boquete, Panama: Boquete's rainy season typically runs from May to November, with the heaviest rainfall occurring between September and November.

    Nope to Medellin. Too much air pollution with humidity. Alot of hilly streets.I'll take Pereira! And Cuenca for sure! But not with the instability that exists in Ecuador right now. Boquete is getting crowded and the infrastructure isn't keeping up, including rhe streets and sidewalks.

    Oh great !!!!!!!! --- I don't speak or understand Spanish - can't read or write it either ? --- Us old retired US citizens don't need the frustrations and isolation from not speaking or understanding the language !!! Nothing enjoyable about a completely strange culture at an old age ? That would be 100% of the time - at least winter doesn't last all year all the time ? - - Seems to me the best compromise is in the Philippines at about the 2000 ft. elevation for some comfortable temps. -- where everyone speaks English -- and -- the cost of living can be as low as 70% less than the US average - (!) - and the Filipino locals are extremely welcoming and friendly !!! Only an hour from the beach and/or an hour from Manila International Airport and/or from quality medical care.
