I'm really excited to order mine this year. I'm thinking about getting the 100w one. But after watching your videos, 80 might be cheaper, and only a little bit slower.

I guess if you were planning in cutting thicker stuff, you may want to go with the 100, but for me,, the 80 does everything I could ever dream of needing it for. For thick stuff I have a cnc. Lol

you made it look easy. I have the AF2435 and have yet to clean my lens (only been a couple of months). Thanks!

I don't think it's too bad. Really the worse part is making sure you put the lens back in the right orientation. Other than that, on my laser at least, it's pretty simple.

Wouldn't it be easier to use a Zeiss Lens wipe to clean the lens? You can then hold the lens with the wipes while you clean it. It seems cotton swaps could leave fuzz on the lens.
I currently have a Glowforge, and it is very easy to clean all the lenses and mirrors with the Zeiss Lens Wipes.
I am looking into upgrading to a OMTech AF2028-80, so I have been watching videos like this to get more info.
Thanks for your videos. I am learning alot from them.

It is much easier to use a zeiss lens wipe, I just didn't have any. I used to keep a bunch of them when I had my glowforge, because they recommended them, but other things work just as well.

I can’t get mine to unscrew for love nor money. The cone unscrews fine but the next section up that contains the focus lens won’t budge. It spins the entire head. Any suggestions?

How did you end up unscrewing it? I'm in the same situation.

I'm sorry I can't be of any help here, mine unscrewed normally... maybe send omtech an email, and if they respond, share it here in case others have the same issue.

Wear gloves and a Qtip is going to leave stuff behind. I would think they would want you to use a micro fiber cloth or something??

Yeah I was doing it spur of the moment because I needed to remove the laser nozzle anyway. Normally I wear gloves and use zeiss lens cleaning wipes. They are lint free and work great.
