Man these are hard to find in Canada. I did finally find one at a Briggs and Stratton dealer. It is the same machine except it is a Briggs and Stratton model with the 250cc engine. I can’t wait to try it out. I bought it because of your videos. Thanks for sharing.

I just bought a 1022EE 2 days ago from my local dealer for 599$ after my old Toro finally died. I love my Simplicity lawn tractors so i knew when i bought new one it would be a Simplicity.

It looks like the metal auger is hitting the rubber. I have a toro 180 now, looking at the ariens because I have a versa track model and it is great. Imy neighbor has the toro 21 with the same motor and its a beast. I am leaning toward this after your video.

I just bought one. Not built quite as tough as an Ariens or Toro, but I love the power chute, headlights and shredder. I think this is one of the only, or one of very few single stage has snowblowers that actually has lights. The battery powered ones usually do, but not single stage gas. I was pleasantly surprised that my new 1222 has LED lights. Thanks for the video!

My old H brand blower have problems clogged or hard to push forward when wet snow, many snow blower will easy clogged, this shredding design look good, we need cut the frozen snow first then auger can easy throwing snow, my next machine will buy this kind!

I love the single stage..first got hooked with my old honda 5hp h55?..it was a tank. I now have a toro 6.5hp 2 stroke. Used for 12 years ,minimum issues just rubber blade replacement. Toro had the best ,simplistic 2 paddle blade set up just like one in this video but without the ice choppers.."good idea".These do throw slushy snow without clogging as much as a 2 stage. Biggest drawback is surface
Must be FLAT, these crawl on the augers paddles.. wavy dirt driveway not so great. Very nimble and portable. The tough stuff crusty at the end of your driveway will need to be loosened up first but it will throw it. Keep making them bigger!!!

I don't know about snow throwers but newer mowers with those Briggs engines suck. The last two I have bought smoke every time I start them. So, when I bought my new snow thrower, I made sure no Briggs. It is an Ariens, and the engine is a 208cc LCT. Two years and so far, a great engine.

@@addismultitasking3504 Not many true single stages have a remote deflector. The one on the Cub Cadet (MTD) is horrible and the one on the Honda used to be very stiff to operate as well, although someone told me they have improved it. My Toro Snowmaster has a killer joystick that controls chute rotation and deflector angle but although it is a single stage, it's a bit bigger. But it doesn't have any headlights. It's hard to find the perfect machine!

Just picked up one of these at my local dealer for $649.00 I only have used it once so far and there was not that much snow when I used it. But so far I really like it. The features on this model are really nice I especially like the power chute control. Before I purchased this brand and model I was also looking at the Toro 821 QZE and the Honda HS720AS. It was a tough choice between the three of them. I finally decided on the Simplicity because it had a few features that the other two did not have. I was using a Honda HS520 that I have owned for about 20 yrs and it still runs and works well it has been a really good snow blower. I for sure got my moneys worth out of it. But I thought I would give the simplicity a try for the price point and features hope it treats me well like the Honda did.

    • @loktom4068

I have the cheaper brother version called Murray without the metal shredder and smaller engine.
I was afraid that it may not have enough power initially.
But I was wrong, it throw away snow over 25 feet +easily. Only the heavy wet slushy stuffs reduce the distance of throwing. But it gets the job done. It definitely beats the hell of manual shoveling the heavy wet slush.
Absolutely amazing and no problem of this wondering uncontrollably when pushing it.

@@addismultitasking3504 I have a 5 y/o B&S snow shredder which I do love for its clearing abilities, that said, I do wish it had a better muffler as it is quite loud, also it vibrates quite a bit at idle. On a different note, I applied a ceramic wax to the inside of the auger and discharge shoot as I've seen a video that shows it prevents clogging of the shoot, looking forward to seeing if it works once we have our first snow.
