Your videos are very appreciated by all flightsimmers. It makes the ATR in MSFS like a good old friend. Thank you Cpt for your kindness and for your well prepared content. Happy landings ....wishes are coming from Germany.
Wonderful video. Now I know that your auxiliary hydraulic pump runs (off the battery power?) for only 30 seconds, which is adequate to operate flaps and other hydraulic devices without starting the engines. I heard and understood every word that you said, and stand enriched with more knowledge than before. I appreciate your efforts in making this video and eagerly look forward to more videos from you.
Hello Captain, youre Videos are for me the best on UA-cam! Many Thanks for this. But i have one question. In MSFS in the FMC stands instead the „Alt Restriction“ only „Window“ what does that mean ?
Do you mean "Window" in a SID or STAR? In that case, the waypoint must be crossed between two altitudes, for example between 4,000 and 6,000 feet. You can click on the right-hand LSK next to the waypoint to read the altitude restriction.
A very good film :) Can you please tell me how to switch between VHF1 and VHF2? I've been trying to figure this out for a while but can't seem to find a solution. I can only switch the radio between ACTIVE and STBY :(
Sir , just one question. Why ATR cant mostly cruse 20000 ft as Dash Q400. Which Aircraft is most suitable to operate under 1200 runway . Can ATR can customize into 80 passengers seats.
Today did I cruise at 21,000 feet. (I have also been at 25,000 feet with ATR 72.) The cruise altitude depends on two factors: Weight and temperature. Compared with ATR 72, the Q400 has almost the double horsepower. Therefore, the Q400 can cruise faster and higher. However, this comes at a cost: For the same distance, the Q400 burns 30% more fuel than an ATR 72. Altough ATR 72 normally carry 68-72 passengers, it can be certified to carry up to 78 passengers in a high density layout. ATR 42, ATR 72, Dash-8-100/200/300, and Q400 can all operate on 1,200 m long runways.
I fly the ATR in MSFS, is there a reason why my engines idle on the ground at 4.3% torque, because of this I have no hydraulic or AC power to my aircraft without throttling up.
The torque has no impact on ACW power. When the aircraft is on the ground, the condition levers shall be in AUTO, and the power levers in GI (Ground Idle). This gives 70-71% NP, which ensures that the ACW generators are operative.
Hello Captain , I am a qualified Skydiver, I love to fly , I live to skydive, unfortunately aviation is even more expensive than Skydiving , I have 3 hours of PPL but I can not go all the way to PPL at the moment so I fly airplanes in VR on MSFS 2020 , I am thinking to buy the ATR , what do you think , how realistic do you think it is , is it worth buying it ? Is it a study level aircraft ? Thank you !
Hi, the ATR model is good when it comes to replicating the performance and behaviour of the aircraft. With three exemptions: 1) The acceleration at takeoff is too slow, and you will need a longer runway than planned. 2) If you during takeoff rotate to 8 degrees nose up, with is normal procedure, the tail will hit the ground. 3) The FMS is very complicated, and some functions are not fully operational yet. Hopefully, those issues will be fixed in future updates.

Glad you like them!
100 percent approve this message. I even put on a Magnaresqe accent when I fly the ATR.
You're the best, Captain! I'm really enjoying this airplane in MSFS, and your videos are helping so much. Thanks!
I finally know the reason why the cargo door light switch is inverted !! (OFF is up, and ON is DOWN)😃 Nice !!
This is correct 50% of the time. There's a second light switch outside the aircraft, in the cargo door control panel.

The clipboard hack😂. Nice one Captain!
Thanks for sharing these hacks, great video as usual...
Hello Captain, very good hacks sharing, thank you. I will be looking for the next one !
Great video Captain! There is always something interesting with you videos. Thank you
Always interesting, I will never get bored with your videos Captain Magnar!!!!!! 🙂
Hi Captain, as Always, you're the best... Best regards, from Air Moana in Tahiti
Always "three greens", Captain, Thank you ...

Very nice and interesting... I can't wait to see Part 2...❤
This is very helpful Captain! Thank you! 🎉
As always, very interesting content 🙂
Thank you, Capt.
I use the clipboard method. Very nice to see this here
As usual, very informative!
Thank you for another outstanding video!
Thank you for your video.

Yes thats it. Perfect. Many thanks
Thank you for your video.
Could you teach me about windshield edge crack?
Our company ATR windshield edge is crack. Engineer said within limit.
Hej Magnar ! Flugit andra farkoster den senaste tiden, borde återkomma till ATR igen. Tack, tack !

You select the radio you want to transmit with on the audio control panel (behind the power levers.)
Gracias a usted siempre por su dedicación

Hey magnar, is jumpseating allowed at your airline?
Sorry, no.
Nice video
Bra video som alltid(:

@@FlywithMagnar The condition levers are in Auto but only i’m only getting 64%NP?
@@Taity680 , are the Power Levers in GI?
@@FlywithMagnar Yes they are, I’m suspecting it to be a bug with my sim.
@@Taity680 , that is possible. I have experienced problems with low NP after landing, but not after engine start.
