I just a few days ago ordered three packets of Yukari, three of Yukari with Ume, and three Umeko. They should be arriving tomorrow. This is so fascinating to see how it is made at home. That giant jar of umeboshi looks wonderful. Unfortunately, I don't have a place to grow my own shiso.
Thank you so much for the recipe! Yukari is an unforgettable taste. Thankfully I found some good seeds of perilla, will grow it and make shiso furikake this year! Beautiful video!
Hello Hiromi, thank you. I hope you would like your Shiso Recipe. Mioga is really great for Miso Soup, or pickle with eggplant, etc. Here is the recipe for Shiso, in case you are interested👇 ua-cam.com/video/zpprYTffN0o/v-deo.html Have a nice day in Brasil.
Do you mean the green leaf? The green shiso is also good for making Furikake, in this case, is much easy. Just dry the green shiso, then add some salt and sesame. They have different fragrances with purple leaf.
Wow that is a beautiful Kimoto.
This is an amazing tutorial, thank you!
Glad you like it!^^

I really love Umeboshi, so I need giant jar for it ^^. To grow Shiso, we can also use flower plant pot, it is easy to take care too.
Quite a culinary Art form.

After the powder is made, how much salt should be added to make furikake? Is it to taste?
thank you for this tutorial. I planted green shiso because i couldn't find red shiso seeds. Does the recipe for Furikake also works with green shiso ❔

thank you. and how to make umebosi vinegar?
@You2 I am worried you are adding scrapped plastic 7:40 from your chopping board. Be careful.
Would this also work with any Perilla leaf? I have Korean Perilla growing and would love to use it for more than rice wraps

My red shiso didn't do well this year. Could this be made with green shiso?
If you use green shiso, the powder will be green, but it is also delicious.
