I actually think this song being 1:50 adds to the sweetness of it. If it were much longer like three minutes or so, there wouldn't be a whole lot to add to it. I mean you could add verses, but it would get very repetitive. But that's why you can always listen to it over and over again! Like most of you, I first came across it from the Angus soundtrack.
In this age of shredding and speed metal, Rivers is still a brilliant guitar player. I get more of a sense of emotion from him then I do from most of the players today.
I have been looking for the right guitar tone to play that solo. I have tried everything. Its pissing me off. Ive been looking for like 7 months! Ahhh!
The title of the vid says "Lupos" which is in Providence, RI. Probably during the green album tour. They played this song a lot at that time and Mikey Welsh is the bassist.
@rockguitar06 Well I have Maladroit, it's one of my favorite Weezer records.. I guess Ill just have to dig em up off the internet!!! Thanks for the bit of info... I actually think I knew this already but I find out and forget so much shit when it comes to music, theres just so much great stuff out there!!! But this band is and will always be one of my favs.... rambling done!!!
This performance is awesome. This was on the Angus soundtrack and the El Scorcho single, but the tracks are actually a little different from each other. I like the Angus version better. =w= rules
When was this video made? I swear this looks like them in Raleigh. Probably not though. Man that seems like yesterday but it was 7 years ago. Crap I'm getting old.
