- Danny the Dog is trained like a dog and left with the mentality of a child. Danny is a violently skilled fighter who stops at nothing to take down his targets, but only when a metal collar around his neck is removed by Bart. Once the collar is on, Danny is a harmless, withdrawn person, with very little knowledge of how to live as a socialised human, and he is constantly bullied by Bart, whom Danny perceives as his master.

@@Hamsterman515 from the age of 2-7 is actually the best age for the human brain to learn, so the fact that he has the brain of a 5-year old would actually be a boon to learning a language. That's why kids pick up on learning a language when young and why it's more difficult to learn a language when you're older. It is undoubetly one of my all time favorite movies. It involves emotions, drama, a story line with action so well it leaves most people speechless as not everyone would expect such touching story from an action movie. I've been rewatching this movie for years and years and never regret it, it's one of the best ever made in every sense, the colors, photography, music score, story, character development, etc. THIS is how you make a movie and mix different themes up. This movie is a materclass and I always talk about it and recomment to everyone who asks me for a movie and yet I have to see a person that didn't like this movie.

He's suffered from hyperthyroidism, though he lives with it, it has taken a toll on him and he had to stop making movies. At least movies which demanded a lot of physical effort.

God I remember when this came out in theaters. I was already a fan of Jet Li, but this film brilliantly showcased both his martial arts prowess and just how good an actor he truly is.

So did I.. it was like the melody that was being played on the piano was signalling the end of his miserable past together with a feeling of freedom and the love of a family while remembering how precious his mother was..a woman he never got to know

Yet! people call it a stupid language because it's so easy to learn. My Ukrainian classmate took 9 WEEKS just to learn how it works. those weeks only led to him saying basketball, football, soccer. My classmates are obsessed with sports.

Among these 4 languages i think that english Is the easiest to learn(italian doesn't really count since it this my mother language). Not to say that it is a "bad language"(there is no such thing as a bad language) but it has way less rules than many others and is way less stricter

I remember seeing this movie. This was the first Jet Li movie I saw. I felt so bad for his character. Spoilers: I still remember the scene of the Victoria taking off his collar. He flinched as soon as latched clicked, flashing back to his brutal fights.
This was the only Hollywood movie that knew how to showcase Jet Li's talents as both the martial artist and a good actor. I was very proud of Jet Li for his role in this movie

I remember picking up the DVD of the movie back in the day (i think it was 2003 or 2004) without any expectation other than it was a jet li movie. I was blown away by the movie...a good mixture of action, great storyline and humanity. This is truly one of the best Jet Li movies I have ever watched. Good thing I watched the full movie the first time, not a shortened version like on this channel. (no offence to the channel, he's is also doing a good job with movies I dont have time to watch). You just have to watch the full movie to experience the whole set of emotions from the movie

That reminds me, Donnie Yen, Jet Li, and Jackie Chan. All of them are the things that makes me like watching chinese action movies, the martial arts scenes are always fun to watch, and fascinating at that. Sadly, they're getting older, but as humans grow old, with old age, comes wisdom.

True story.. a couple in my city. So called dog lovers raised their child with 25 dogs.. "like a dog" for 11 years.. they didn't sent him to school nor allowed him to go out of the house or talk to anyone except for dogs.. their Neighbour suspected something fishy and asked them about the kid and parents lied that their kid stay at his nana's place. So neighbour filed a police complaint. They were arrested a week ago.

One of my all time favorite Jet Li movies. He never said a word yet his acting is so damn perfect with the emotions he conveyed.
There are 2 sides of Danny a insane fighting dog & a regular human:
1st Danny the dog: when he’s with Bart ‘an old British man who is a gangster’ he doesn’t look or feel happy he’s act mostly as like mindless wild violent ape.
2nd Danny the human: when he’s with Sam ‘an old professional piano player’ he looks a lot more happy, joyful & living his life like he’s has a soul with heart in the present moment.
i used to watch this when i was younger and i still really love this movie 🥺
