Also, it hit the bonnet that hard there's no way the debits had already punched through the thick alloy bellhousing. Their flywheels are pretty light, although it was at quiet high RPM it still wouldn't have THAT kind of energy the way we saw the bonnet get impacted. Again, if it's your car and your for real i appologise but otherwise i'm calling bs on the flywheel

I've seen a flywheel cut its way through the car and fly out the side window up into the sky over the hill and gone from a rotary sitting at 11-12k rpm when it popped! I got showered in glass from the window but nobody got cut in half thankfully!
Best thing to do, just stand on it in neutral and keep it there, it'll blow much faster then (I assume the intention was to destroy the engine by repeatedly stamping it to its limits?)
I actually received a 13b that had all new components but was seized and it had a lil tack weld for the flywheel nut. I’ve had gotten about this was my 4th rotary engine but when I couldn’t unlock it I realize it had this tiny lil Weld bead. Iono if it’s factory but I keep it in mind if I do a flywheel swap
I was at a drag strip years back and seen a 1957 Chevy toss the flywheel upwards through the dash. The driver had a , I just shit my pants look on his face.
These boys are lucky I had a friend who over revved his Chevy and put the flywheel and the cast parts of the pressure plate through the Hood next to the windshield and out the left wheel arch....that mistake can kill you. . you might want to Try a Scatter shield ..and a Billet Chromoly Flywheel.
You has some many things to do to avoid, but not totally this issue, like balance, work with the ring ect. But the most important and safe is, dont over pass the revolutions.
Tell that to a rotary enthusiast, they know only one thing, bwabwabwabwa the whole damn time, why they so much love to rev the tits of the damn things I will never understand. Put it on a dyno and show us real power or drive the car but this revving is just stupid.
