Can't believe how good the quality is for 83. Both audio n picture are crystal clear. looks like its off studio master rather than someones old VCR tape
cale produced the warner brothers demos in 72 that were released by matthew king kaufman on beserkley in 1976.kim fowley also recorded demos of the same material later in 72 for a&m.those demos were released in 1981 as the original modern lovers.
And Cale wrote his best songs without Reed around. I love both of them. Only 2.5-3 years together, though. Of course quality things were to come after VU from such great talents as long as drugs/alcohol didn't get in the way.

I will.. the 'fight' was nothing serious... do you have the rest of the show, including the Jello Biafra interview? I know there was a segment where comedian Vince Sorrenti is racing through his routine, to the amusement of John Cale, Jonathan Richmond, Jello Biafra... It was interesting seeing their reaction to that style of comedy.

He never understood - for a man like Lou Reed, a band is a vehicle for songs. Not Cale's antisocial tendencies, not experiments - SONGS! And Lou Reed wrote his best songs without Cale around.
