    Hyundai and Kia are decisive as ever. People who have owned Hyndai and Kia products don't exactly love the brand.

    So the average American family has been shrinking for the years. From four in the 60s to around three now. But the vehicles keep growing. This seats seven. Marketing really works apparently, as people keep buying these big people haulers when they actually don’t need them.

      Americans idealize having more than they need. Look at the millionaire/billionaire corporate class. All the property, all the food, all the companies, all the money, all the space - and those at the bottom idolize that behavior. This vehicle is the perfect symbol for that - all this faux prestige shell on unreliable, cheap junk.

      Growing up in a family of 4 I can say that these 3 row SUVs are the perfect family car
      Pretty good towing
      Good interior space
      Ability to put 1 kid in the 3rd row

      Not everyone who has a three person family buys a seven passenger vehicle. If they did, every vehicle would have seven passengers. My family has six and needs a six-seven passenger vehicle.

      When you're a person with family AND friends living a active life you need it . When you have no friends buy a used spark and don't go anywhere.

    The Subaru Ascent did 0-60 in 7.3 and and was "slow" while this Palisade did 7.6 and was "respectable?"
    And how long until the transmission gives out? Mine went out at 65k. And now it's worth nothing.

    so, doesnt a Tahoe get the same MPG? Its a lame edition.. looks like styling cues from Lexus a few years ago. I dont mind blacked out chrome and such if done tastefully (as John used to say it looks European) but black just for blacks sake... this is over done in my opinion but Id never buy a large SUV/CUV anyways. Im not a fan of dark rims either unless theres a bright wheel lip to break it up some

    I just spent 2 weeks in an i30, it was exactly what I expected from Hyundai and why I continue to dislike their products, they still have a ways to go to catch Honda or Toyota, all they can still offer is a lot of features for less money, but there's a good reason they're always less money...

    • @Outcastiid
      @Outcastiid 11 годин тому +2

      So what were the reasons to dislike it? What do Toyota and Honda do better?

    • @Zerobar78.
      @Zerobar78. 10 годин тому +4

      @ chassis, suspension, powertrain, interior, pretty much everything still lags. The chassis shuddered over hard bumps, the transmission never knew what gear it wanted to be in and the throttle was either in sore motion or full tilt boogie, the entertainment system couldn’t decide between radio, and CarPlay, the seats were horrendously unsupportive.
