Mandy, did you know that honey contains a lot of natural beneficial enzymes that are really good for you? Unfortunately, they are destroyed by using metal utensils in it (such as a spoon). That's why honey dippers are made of wood.

Y'all seem to enjoy Asian food and spice. May I suggest, making chili crunch, or chili crisp. It can be used for loads of things, not just Asian food. And it's SO easy! Whatever recipe you choose, it must have, minimum, hot pepper flakes (easy choice since we all have this), garlic, onions (or shallots), bit of sugar, and veggie oil. I promise you'll regret not having it available before. Yum!!
By the by, I've not been disappointed with any of your recipes.👍
We from the South call it "Vi-Dell-Ya Onion. They are my very favorite! Very similar to TX 1015. It's over 100 already here in DFW so anything that doesn't require heating up the house from the use of the oven is a winner in my book. Who needs expensive P.F. Chang's when we've got Mandy???
Here on the southeast coast of Georgia, we call it...Vi-Dale-ya 😊
I'm from the Northeast, moved South 9 years ago. I still say vuh-dale-yuh, accent on the dale.

I am trying the lettuce wraps, they look delicious!
I use pork chops with a similar Asian style marinade. Then throw them on the grill. A favorite with grilled Brussels Sprouts & potatoes...all cooked outside.
Im going to make the Asian grilled chicken skewers but im going to add pineapple chucks.
Stephen is so sweet to appreciate your meals. My husband lost his sense of taste and smell from COVID, bless him he never knows if I make a good meal or not. You miss hearing that Oh Yeah That Taste Great from a meal.

My grandma (RIP) used to make a similar cucumber onion vinegar salt pepper and sugar salad.... No Asian flair, but it was cool and refreshing and tasty on a hot summer day. I think I'll try that one first... and then the lettuce wraps.
We just call that salad, cucumbers and onions in WV . I grew up eating that never thought about it being Asian. Great recipes love watching y'all keep up the great work. Much love from WV

I was born and raised in Georgia... Everyone I ever knew, family, friends and even strangers say Vidalia with the 'i' part of the 'vi' pronounced with the sound of the 'i' in 'hi' ... Loving these summer recipes. Thank you and God bless.

Thank you for sharing summer recipes. It's going to be between 105F and 111F all of next week (July 3-11) here in the San Joaquin Valley of California. It's drier heat than you all get in SC but hot is hot. Feels like walking into a hot oven. It's too hot for children to play outside, so they play early and late. All you hear in the afternoon is the hum of the A/C condensers. No one is outside . . . the asphalt on the street gets tacky. I merely endure summer and am wishing autumn would arrive soon . . . bet you are a bit or more too. Thanks for sharing!

I've done those skewers before, but with a little zucchini added to the mix. The other thing I did (since, as Steven said, I was entertaining), was soak the skewers in bourbon. Slightly quicker to cook (since alcohol burns) and left a nice oakey flavor behind. Then I lost my grill, but got a griddle instead. It works the same way, for those of you that have a griddle. You just have to be absolutely sure to turn them, or they'll burn on one side, and no one wants that.
I made the Lettuce wraps tonight and they were delicious! I made coconut rice as a side.
Even my grandson said they were good which is rare lol!

I love cucumber and onion salad. Remember it from my childhood and still enjoy. All of these look delicious. I’ll use chicken breasts instead of thighs. I just can’t get my tastebuds to like them. Hey Mandy! N Ga mtn GG here! I made some Pepper Steak n Rice yesterday and had some Egg Rolls on the side! It was a hot meal but OMG was it delicious! I love Asian Food! Everything looks so delicious! We just got about a dozen beautiful cucumbers out of our garden last night, and I am planning on making a cucumbers sandwich for sure, but I'm going to use a few and make that salad! We cut one last night and it was so good! It didn't taste like the ones in the store, it tasted like my childhood! Oh my goodness! The taste was unbelievable! I'm so thankful to God for blessing us with the bounty, and praying for our tomatoes and cabbage to do good too! Thank you Mandy for these delicious recipes! I can't wait to try them! I think I'm going to try the kabobs and the cucumber salad first. Yesterday I made pork chops and stuffing. I also made green beans and bacon your way. My husband hates green beans but loved them this way. I have been trying a lot of your recipes on the 3 pickey eaters I feed every day, they are cleaning their plates.
