    Just picked up this upper (22 inch) from aero on sale for $699. This validated that purchase thanks a ton!

    Up and down are the power charges, left and right are your trigger pull. Actually accuracy would look like a circle, which is how the barrel natural frequency is.

    Just bought the fluted version of that barrel. Hope my barrel lays it down the same. Thanks for the vid.

    I've been super impressed with the M5E1 with BA SS Barrels . I have the 16" SS 308 . It's my CSASS Setup . I'm slowly saving up for the 20" SS 6.5CM to be my SASS Setup

    fantastical!! I have an extremely accurate m5e1 308 aero rifle and have the 22" 6.5 upper on the way in the mail. I LOVE the 6.5 creed round... I love the 308 round, but the 6.5 flies so much faster and hits harder.. i cant wait to take out some more hogs with the creed. nice vid!

      @edwardabrahamiii3742 5 років тому

      RSLewis how does it hit harder with a lighter pill then the 308?? But i think ima get this rifle next

    • @--RSL--
      @--RSL-- 5 років тому +1

      @@edwardabrahamiii3742 hits harder bc it flys better with more velocity. The steel always shakes more with 6.5 than my 308. Not much difference in size.

    • @edwardabrahamiii3742

      RSLewis if the uintah 6.5 creed wasnt so expensive, i think thats what id buy for myself. i all ready have a 308 swedish straight bolt, that thing was given to me from my grandpa b4 he passed.

      @@edwardabrahamiii3742 308 has served well and still does, don't get me wrong. Might look at the palmetto state Armory 6.5 ar10... my bud has one and that's what I shot a ton of hogs with. Palmetto has good stuff for cheaper than anybody else.

    • @edwardabrahamiii3742
      @edwardabrahamiii3742 5 років тому

      RSLewis yes its done the job bc im Alaskan native, Ive used the .308 for pretty much every big game animal, except for bears. Bc i dont have to much of that in my part of alaska, but ive used it on moose, and beluga whales.

    sellier & bellot is making 6.5 creedmoor fmj now for around 60 cents a round. not match ammo but good to plink with and reload it to a premium round.

      Got 100 rounds of it for 11.50 a box. 140 grain fmj, nice clean looking ammo, haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but will this week. So far anything 140 grain I can get under inch groups out of my ruger predator. Cheap 140 soft point ammo from federal grouped better than hornady 147 eld match.

    • @tristanberzerker8016
      @tristanberzerker8016 6 років тому

      Update on the S B ammo. Fired 5 rounds and had a 4 inch group at 100 yards out of my TC compass. Not very impressed, maybe out of my ruger it'll tighten up

    • @Johnyrocket70
      @Johnyrocket70 6 років тому

      @@tristanberzerker8016 how did the rpr shoot it. It's shoots under 1 inch out of a tikka. Savage chambers don't like it. They get tight in tight chambers. Semi autos have a little extra room.

    Keep shooting that 147 ammo and watch her tighten up nicely for you once that barrel gets broken in. But for the love of god please do not scrub the barrel clean between shooting. Let that bad boy get seasoned like a cast iron skillet. Looking forward to an update video!

      ETX Hooligan Awesome! I've been shooting for a long time and just bought an M5E1 in 6.5 with the 20 inch barrel. Haven't taken it out yet because it's been so brutally cold up here in the north. But hearing about your group size gives me hope that it was a good purchase.

      I'll be honest man, the 143 ELD-X is unbeatable for precision and long range IMO. especially on a "seasoned" barrel. I do custom loads and went from moa to about 1/4 moa with finding the node and adjusting seat depth.

    • @etxhooligan5026
      @etxhooligan5026  6 років тому

      James Forsyth yeah I've since shot 140 eld match and 143. Am under 1/2 MOA with the 140. Unreal. I'll do another grouping video to show how much it has tightened up after some rounds through the barrel.

    built my lower with basic ar 15 kit and the empty aero m5 lower. takedown pins and a couple other components were different. I'm debating whether to get this rifle in a creedmoor or a 308. I imagine the 308 would likely be as accurate. what barrel profile you have? is it the 5 pounder or a medium profile?

    Hornady American Gunner works just as good in my rifle. I don't have a camera to make videos yet. Even the cheap Sellier & Bellot shoots sub MOA in 2 out of 3 of my barrels. 55 cents a round to smack steel stings a lot less.

    +1 on sticking with the 147 HORNADY. Let the barrel get dirty and you’ll notice it’ll improve. No need to investigate further. If you’re getting sub MOA groups out of factory ammo with a gas gun I’d call it a day.
