"The Black Parade" - Baldwinsville Marching Band 2020-21

“When I was a young boy, my father took me into the city to see a marching band…”
The 2021 Baldwinsville Marching Band proudly presents: “The Black
Parade”, a rock opera from the band ‘My Chemical Romance”. The show
is based on singer Gerard Way's notion of death appearing to a person
in the form of their fondest memory - in this case seeing a marching
band as a child. Like the book of life, the show travels from left to
right across the stage as the fleeting memory of the marching band
parade block becomes an ever-increasing abstraction. The Black Parade
marches through the afterlife reliving feelings of teenage angst,
despair, and ultimately hope.

The music for this show was actually written by one of the Bville marching band’s ensemble coordinators, and special arrangers specifically for our band to be able to perform this show. If you want to get the arrangement/ rights to the show music, you should probably email the Bville bands director directly. He probably won’t give you the music rights, but it’s worth a shot.
