as an adult i want to tell teenagers watching this: even if someone says “this is a MUST have to be a clean girl!!”, you don’t have to do anything. take inspiration, use tricks like doing slick-back hair when your hair is greasy, and have fun, but don’t buy stuff just cause the latest trend says you _have_ to, or because some influencer/model says so. remember a bunch of people earn a lot of money from especially young women feeling inadequate & “needing” new styles, accessories, products etc… have fun, but try to not let it stress you out! don’t waste money on something that’s gonna be “out of style” in a few months, that you’ll use just a couple of times. and just because someone says you need to have 10 shower products to be clean doesn’t mean you have to. be curious but also smart!
@@writteninstars i think they will. teenagers are intelligent & usually very impressive in their ambition to create a good world. i know i’ve been stressed out about stuff like this, so knowing it doesn’t _have_ to be like that i think can be comforting :)
if you want the sleek hair, don't use gel. it gets a really bad build up, and is generally pretty bad for your hair. Instead, wet your hair with water, slick it back, and use a bit of conditioner instead. Edit:if you have textured hair it won't work for you.
@@scooby5307 probably just stick with gel. I can't know for sure because while I have curly hair, I'm not black, so I don't have any experience with that type of hair. I just know that water and conditioner works for me. Sorry for not being any help
@@scooby5307 search up some videos, i would tell you research however many videos had different things (that worked) so i suggest you look for videos that suit your needs:) i hope i helped!! if you need me i can still give some advice! although during my research what the person said MAY help ( the water and conditioner thing ) have a nice day qt
I have a small container of hair gel that I use to keep my hair in place and make my hair darker . Yesterday I put to braids at the front of my hair and accidentally used Vaseline ! To make it worse I put lots of it on my scalp and at the ends ! It looked so oily and took me forever to get out ! I recommend using something besides Vaseline or at least apply it with a tooth brush !
i think it's ironic that the sleek bun is considered "clean look" when it's literally my go-to for extremely greasy hair 😂 also you don't have to use soap, shower gel, scrub etc. all in one go to be clean or smell good. it will dry out your skin in the long run.
Yea i simply scrub my skin with a teenie towel and dove soap. Does the job and keeps me clean without drying out my skin. I still moisturize my body after tho, i prefer the herbal essence body lotion in honey or milk and oats
Ive always been using scrubs its fine it doesnt dry out the skin if u use the right one and lotions after and if ur not supposed to used soap or shower gel then what do u use just water ?
I wouldn't say that dozens of beauty products are in any sense "basic". Even those clothes, altough simple, I don't consider to be basics, because half of it will be out of style in a year or two. And just to be clear, heavy makeup and lousy clothes are not "clean" look imo either.
@@colorfulgirl9481 I don't see looking like everybody else as a bad thing. In a world where everybody's trying so hard to stand out from the crowd and be unique, people tend to forget and sometimes even demean the beauty in basics and simplicity. @@madamchloe2655 Yeah, I understand how "standing out" can often be seen as fitting in, in a way. I never thought about it that way, that's a unique take
Please don’t be offended if you don’t have the „clean look“. It doesn’t mean you are „dirty“. It is just a specific style! You can choose other styles, maybe boho, fun, romantic, feminine, tomboy, sporty, ethnic, athleisure… no style is better than another, they are all great! you can switch it up even daily!
The hygiene and self care are 💯👌 I must admit tho, nothing about a sweat suit or ripped denim screams 'clean girl' when you're going out. Obv. all have those off days when we're on our period or if we're staying home or maybe you're a busy mom... I really don't see why not just dress up in public?
Why would you dress up just because you're in public? You want a bunch of random strangers that aren't gonna give you a second thought to be "impressed" with you or what? They're not, they're not gonna care and someone's gonna think you're ridiculous and what you're wearing is ugly anyways, because there's always at least one person out there that'll feel that way. You should go out comfortable, wearing what you feel good in. Which for you specifically might be wearing something fancy but not everybody likes to dress up period.
@@meowscutie I guess I didn't mean anything crazy, maybe jeans and a nice shirt.. Ngl, I just went to the store in leggings and an oversized tee but I put on some powder and did my brows. Sometimes I'll look and feel like a trash can but a smile and good character is way prettier than any outfit I put on 🤷♀️
It's a style. Some people like an active look, a comfortable look, a fun look. A look does not make up who you are, just like don't judge a book by its cover. Also clean look does not mean hygienic.
How to get a clean look?? Don't torture your skin, don't put on so much make-up, use a high quality natural cream, sleep enaugh, drink a lot of water, don't smoke. I'm serious... trust me. I'm a 33 years old woman and I have an almost perfect skin, I have never put on foundation in my life 😊 nature and high quality products are the key 👍
Yes, that is my secret as well.I am 39 and I never used too much make up. I rarely use foundation,I got lucky with my skin but in the end, I think not using much makeup kept my skin young.
I was cursed with eye-bags darker than a black-hole. No amount of sleep, vitamins or minerals, water, and aloe-vera will rid me of them. Hate to admit it but for me.. concealer is a must🤷♀️
No but like.. if i see 1 more slicked back anything, im gonna EXPLODE lmao my head is too big and round for it to NOT make me look like an actual fucking egg 😂
@@Spokentruths725 My thoughts exactly. 😅 The new generation is essentially making up their own slang for things that have been around for a while. The increasing reach of social media in their generation naturally brought up specific categories for different trends and looks. A bit wild and hard to catch up with. But it's very refreshing to see how they are able to find a sense of belongingness with these trends.
Lucky😭😭 im messy and broke. All the aesthetics i like cost 💸💸 So the "clean girl" look is a simple, neat, affordable style i can actually keep up with.
I’m telling y’all ladies that there’s a literal GLOW that only the Holy Spirit gives and a CLEAN satisfying feeling that only the white robes of righteousness of Christ can give. He bled out, was slaughtered, on a cross so you can have these for free! Go to Him for these things and you’ll never be disappointed. ❤️ You’ll find a well that never runs dry and a pleasure in God that can fill all voids and a love that overcomes death. “Those who look to him are radiant, and their faces shall never be ashamed.” (psalm 34:5)
All of these people are beautiful both before and after ❤️❤️ Also…I think people probably consider my look the opposite of clean since I dress very grungy and wear a lot of eyeliner, but I swear I shower every day and I’m clean 🤣
don’t wash your face or put lotion on. leave your musty mascara on over night then in the morning rub it and leave it on. a must is to never brush ur teeth.
I do like this look, don't get me wrong. but they all kinda look the same cus they follow the same fashion to almost an exact copy of each other lol like the little gold hoop earrings, the greased back hair, the "no makeup" makeup that requires tons of products, the blue jeans, white tshirt, chunky sneakers. like I said, it looks cute but don't be afraid to show a bit of ur own personality thru ur style as well instead of it being a copy paste of these tiktok girls. it's kinda how we had the insta look a few years back, now we got this "I bought everything from Shein" vibe that's trendy lol
The signature scent thing is stupid. Some perfumes are good for one type of occasion, some more but most of them if any, aren't good for all occasions.
I know right?! They even call a makeup trend " natural or no makeup makeup " like HOW IS THAT EVEN CLEAN you're literally putting makeup on your face , it's not " natural " but that's just my opinion ! Have a nice day :)))
It's not saying literally clean or natural. It's a clean 'look' as in you look clean at first glance. It's a slang and a name attributed to a look not your whole hygiene. Aesthetics are not literal. They are just aesthetics, some things people have fun with. For the record, nobody said they look natural.
My recommendation: try not to wear makeup. To me, a clean girl is someone who goes all natural, no makeup, maybe only blush or mascara but that's it. It's someone who has simple skin care, who eats well and takes care of themselves. That is the clean girl I aspire to be. ❤️
