Madame Web Review the movie that no-one wants to watch, but everyone did. Sony managed to make the perfect bonfire of horrible ideas, link them into Marvel and not even have Disney involved. When you have the rights to Spiderman, make a Spiderman movie. We're not doing that though. Madame Web can see the future, but for some reason didn't look at the box office results before making the film. If this movie had been on streaming, the fallout would have been even funnier. But as it is, this has become the movie that every mainstream media outlet has jumped on. It's "safe" to criticise because they wont annoy Disney but can get out all those feelings about recent MCU movies. This isn't a movie I'd recommend watching, but it may reappear as a topic when it's on streaming, simply because it has to be seen to be believed. But what do you think? Let me know your thoughts down below, and as always, thanks for watching :)

I saw it > it was terrible. Like, there is ZERO explanation of why the girls are even wearing "spider suits" the entire film. It's so painfully obvious this is two different movies hastily stitched together at the last minute. The move isn't even woke, or like an overdose on female-empowerment... it's just a bad movie.

One of the (many) issues facing the superhero genre is the fact that care is not being given on who is hired to write and direct it. When we got things kicked off with the MCU we got people who actually liked comics and worked at adapting some of the best in comics to the big screen. Now we got directors who are proud of the fact that they think superhero movies aren't proper cinema using the movie as a transport for whatever message they feel like pushing that week.

      True... and false.
Depends on which series we're talking about as there are examples of both. (I'm just nit-picking because I generally agree but bad writers creep in everywhere.)
That said. It makes the most logical sense that the spider sense should only go off for actual danger. So a normal person throwing a punch at him should just be "meh". His reactions are heightened at any rate but yeah. The whole "My spider sense is tingling" was typically for "Oh shit... something that can actually hurt me or pose a threat to others in the vicinity."

The whole mother hates me thing is so dumb.
So in Naruto, there's a character named Gaara whose mother died in childbirth(complications due to his dad put a demon inside him before he was born.)
Gaara's Uncle is the only one who ever showed him love. He then attempts to assassinate Gaara, who's like 5 years old maybe, and Gaara fatally wounds him. He explains he did it because he hates him for killing his sister, and his sister also hated him. That's why she named him Gaara, a demon that loves only itself.
Fast forward, Gaara is the commander in a war and is fighting his father who was brought back to life as an undead super weapon (don't worry about it)
His father then tells him after seeing the glorious and beloved leader his son has become, that his mother loved him so dearly she infused it into every grain of sand. Sand automatically shields Gaara when he is attacked, even if he tries to cut himself, it has since birth and he assumed this was the sand demon's power. His father explains it's his mother's will, as she loved him. This revelation strikes Gaara's core and the added imagery in the scene really makes it work.
THAT is how you write this properly, not "oh my mom died in a strange place, she must've HATED me. Oh no, she didn't, she just had a reason for being in a strange place. Yay."

I second that seed of wisdom and truth. I cannot believe how people are giving Sweeney a free pass because of her looks and body. Let’s not forget that no one is immune to the ravages of time. Even flowers wilt. It depends on how a woman defines herself. Sweeney doesn’t inspire others to become better versions of themselves. She does not empower women to be resilient in the face of adversity. She enjoys being admired and pampered by men who allow their lower half to dictate their choices in life. There is no radiance from her heart. There is no love in her soul. She revels in being worshipped like an idol. Don’t fall for her trap. I respect women who are kind to others regardless of their status and circumstances. I admire when women rebuild their lives after heartache and loss. I celebrate women who shake up the status quo with their pioneering spirits and tenacity. Also, I admire and respect men who are confident and fearless when it comes to his goals and aspirations. Who follow their hearts even when the rest of the world threatens to ruin him for going against the grain. A real man respects a woman who uplifts others around her. A real man loves a woman for her heart and soul. Not something as temporary as her looks.

And what I realized is that old Scooby Doo was not that bad, I used to call it stupy doo, and we were just really spoiled by good production, products and performances. This last 10 years are like a void of creation. Is like a black hole absorbing all light and darkness out of anything. *Female power fantasy* - Be the best person in the room, be men and do things men do.
    Men make entertainment for everyone.
Women make entertainment for women, and then wonder what the problem is or why they struggle with the male audience...after telling men "it's not for them". I'm confident that I can't think of s single time when a cast or director made a movie for men and constantly stated how it's great for "male empowerment" while telling women "this movie isn't for you". That is strictly a female manifested phenomenon.

This is scripted. These women can't actually believe that women empowerment and all this stuff just because they're in a movie. It makes them feel powerful again. Adult pretenders yes I get that. But still I think they are contacted before these events and told what to talk about and what to say to these interviewers. This is ridiculous. These women are too smart to believe that they're feeling empowered from a movie. I want to give these women credit in one respect. I honestly don't believe they think that in their mind because they play a character they feel empowered. I think that's all a bunch of far-left liberal nonsense that they're paid to say before they go to these events. That's the only thing that seems to make sense LOL

once upon a time, the industry had trolls that would negatively criticize a movie, and the industry would blame the negative criticism on the trolls… 90% or better of the people who’ve seen this movie opine that it’s absolutely terrible and no way can they be categorized as trolls and Sony has no one to blame but itself for putting out a horrible product

I mean; he's still pretty villainous. As that article said; instead of using his resources for good he went full evil and tried to destroy them. It's the same thing Skynet tried to do and ultimately ended up creating their own destroyer in John Connor.
But then blowing up innocents to try and stop the guy from killing you isn't self-defense from that either.
