36:32 LORE EXPLANATION: Melina would have explained it. To reach the Elden Throne you have to burn the Erdtree. Melina calls herself "The Kindling Maiden." Who has the power to burn the Erdtree is she can find the Giants flame. But you embraced the Frenzied Flame, a god that wants to use the Giants flame to destroy not just the Erdtree, but the entire world, killing everyone and everything. Now to be fair... Melina DID tell you this and NOT to do that, but in your defense its hard to resist a cool big door in a fantasy setting. TL;DR you sold your soul to a god of chaos and destruction to help him burn the world to ash
@@TheHandofDestiny I always wondered about that. Like, burning the world to ash is not actually chaos... If anything it is calm and quiet and even. Chaos is constant, neverending change. No change means no chaos, so why is the frenzied flames goal total annihilation? And if anything, distinguishing and dividing sounds VERY chaotic. Fairness and equality are very organized and logical, chaos needs randomness, and while yes chaos can strike anywhere at anytime, it isn't FAIR. Some people have strings of bad luck they don't deserve, and some awful people get way luckier than they should. Makes me wonder... The two main sources about the frenzied flame are The Golden Order (a bunch of liars) and Shabriri (also a liar.) Maybe the frenzied flame is something much different, after all, it seems very careful and calculating, when you'd assume that it'd be lashing out wildly with no plan. Maybe it's a different Outer God, or the cover for an Outer God we already known...
@@reyrapids63 The frenzied Flame has a very clear goal. To erase all that fractures and divides us. It wants to make everything one again. All life back into one singular entity, since it appears to be the remnants of that very being. A being the Greater Will broke into fractured pieces that became life as it is known in the Greater Will's Order. So basically it is chaos because it is the antithesis to the Greater Will's Order/Directive. It is probably the only ending in which you are actually going against the Greater Will, as all others end with you establishing some kind of order Side note the shattering of this original lifeform was done through the creation and use of the Elden Beast I believe, if I have my information correctly recalled. Check out people like Tarnished Archeologist and Smoughtown if you are interested to learn more on the lore.
@@udigenski9171 that's a good point, every other ending besides (probably) the age of stars, is just a band aid on the Greater Wills influence. But I still don't think that the Frenzied Flames seems to be as chaotic as it comes across. Fracturing and Dividing sound very chaotic. A broken sheet of glass with each piece a random size and shape, that sounds chaotic. But perhaps you are right, that "Order" doesn't mean equality. People with power, and people without power can be order, if everyone is "in their place" which is super evil. I can see how breaking the "rules" is chaotic. I still think the Frenzied Flame is a Lil bitch. "Once the whole world is quiet and cold and uniform and lifeless and motionless and just a big pile of colorless ash. THEN chaos will be achieved." Call me crazy but color and movement and life and big sounds and emotions feels way more chaotic. (Also I love Smoughtown and Tarnished Archeologist, good to see another fan of culture in these comments)
@@reyrapids63 The Age of Stars ending is still an order. What each order ending is basically doing is adding something into the Order of the world, in the age of stars it is simply the outer god of the moon and stars (or maybe just the new moon, since rennala is the full moon and ranni is the new moon). I forgot one ending actually; even more than the frenzied flame the true f you to the greater will is the goldmask ending. Because unlike all the others that bring an outer god into power (including fracture, the basic ending, since it is just reinforcing the greater will’s influence), it specifically forces outer gods and the greater will out of the picture.

In the menu when you select an item, if you press square it gives you a lot more info, it's how you discover the lore. It also sometimes tells you what to do with items, example it tells you exactly how many runes you get from consuming large rune pieces. To quickly explain the level caps, level 99 is the hard cap where it's maxed out, but soft caps are where when you reach them, then leveling that stat from that point gives a lot less benefit, less hp gained from leveling vigor, less stamina, etc, most things have different soft caps though, hope this helps
48:14 LORE EXPLANATION: because the merchants are all in hiding. They will sell to you in your find them, but they are on the run from the Golden Order. You saw what happens when the Golden Order catches them, that mass grave near the flame of frenzy was ENTIRELY merchants. Although this specific merchant is called "Imprisoned merchant" which is why he is being guarded
35:30 yeahhh…normally Melina is there to burn the erdtree with you. And she burns herself to do it. That was what she wanted, she’s the kindling maiden, through her the erdtree can be burned and allow you to become lord. What you did is listen to the flame and because you were marked by the 3 fingers, who represent the frenzied flame: an outter god who wants to burn everything away and melt all into one, Basically kill and burn everyone and everything until there’s no more individuality in the world, like in Evangelion if you’ve ever seen it. Anyways since the 3 fingers touched you, you could control the flame yourself. But at the cost of Melina’s trust because she believed in the future of this world where you would become lord through your own power, not through the aid of an outter god manipulating you with its frenzied flame. After all, can you truly call someone a lord if they’re the only person alive in the whole world? No subjects or followers? I don’t think that person could be called a lord.
@TheHandofDestiny kind of sucks that he missed Shabriri. I think he would have been much more hesitant to take up the three fingers thing. Also, he never did Henrietta's thing, so that also sucks.
A sick world needs to be healed before it can sustain true life again. Lord of nothing for a time, and eventually Lord of the fresh new beautiful world rising from the ashes

Varre tried to get you bloodbrained into serving the Mohgwyn Dynasty and gives you the amulet, but he doesn't want you to use it until the dynasty is ready to rise. Instead you use it early, break into the palace, and then invading him is basically saying "hey, I chose violence" because you don't invade someone you just want to chat with. He thought he could make you one of them, instead you just played the part to sneak in. Also speaking of playing the part don't forget to go do Volcano Manor. You want to ideally complete all of the requests before fighting the BIG boss (you'll know for sure when you found it) but also go back and finish the area because you left a lot back there.
Davi just a warning if you complete all of Farum Azula then you’ll be locked out of the remaining quests so make sure to not kill the final boss in the area if you wish to complete all the quests you have.
Varre was actually the reason you were maidenless at the beginning of the game. The dead lady where you spawn at the start of the game was your maiden but he killed her
Davo: "I'll kill dung eater. He is weird and a threat." Yeah? And you are the one about to turn all the world into nothing but ashes with the chaos flame... You're not in the spot to judge him, my man 😂😂😂
And yes that fortress you went to has a secret route to the boss NPC at the top. Gotta look over the balcony there should be a scaffold to take you to the very top. cool weapon for strength builds and something else good if you have a decent amount of faith
Gg man. Just got to the fire giant fight, that was impressive ngl. Oh and jumping into the giant fire pot is part of the Elden ring experience lol. I think everyone tried it. 😂
Vyke lore time! Before you, he was the Tarnished who was closest to becoming Elden Lord. He befriended (and possibly had a romantic relationship with) the Ancient Dragon Lansseax (they are capable of taking a human form) and I believe collected 2 Great Runes. However he was imprisoned for communing with the Three Fingers and inheriting the Frenzied Flame (whoops!)
The Nebula you see in the underground areas allow the Nox of the Eternal Cities to imitate Raya Lucaria's study of the stars (I forget if they made the Nebula or if it was already there). You will see the Nebula in each Eternal City except for the nameless city in Deeproot Depths, because Astel stole their night sky (which you can find in its arena).
GG on the fire giant also that fight took me like 20 or 30 tries on the first playthrough it was so frustrating its actually amazing that you got that first try.
FYI for those who don't know, you can actually get to 37 INT for Law of Regression without leveling it at all. +10 from the Intelligence-knot cracked tear (flask of physick), +5 from Godrick's Great Rune, +5 from the Stargazer's Heirloom, +5 from the Grafted Blade Greatsword's Ash of War (requires 27 str to 2-hand; +5 from Starscourge Heirloom, +10 from Strength-knot Crystal Tear in physick, +5 from Godrick's Great Rune should get even the weakest character there), and +6 from Twinsage Glintstone Crown for a total of +31 INT, letting even the dumbest character cast the Law of Regression incantation. So if you aren't an INT build, you don't need to waste a Larval Tear to reveal the secret of the statue in Leyndel.
its because of dragon communion not frenzied flame, the burn marks are what you get from the three fingers. Though both the marks and the glowy eyes can be changed at a mirror or rennala
7:30 believe the beast repellent torch only stops them from attacking if they spot you from a distance. Attack them or go right up next to them and they'll still attack (also it does not work on monsters with red eyes). 10:30 across the ravine the rise is sitting on is an invisible bridge to get into the rise. If you look really close in front of you, you'll see a faint pathway (although other players often drop messages on it to guide people across). It isn't just a memory stone, it's actually a good item. Would recommend getting it if you feel like it
4:45 Man, glad I'm a faith build. Dragons are probably the easiest miniboss type if you've got the Pest Threads incantation from Sage Gowry. Just stand behind them and cast it repeatedly for upwards of 6,000 damage a cast. When I killed Bayle in the DLC I used Pest Thread Spears while standing behind him during breath attacks and was consistently doing like 10,000+ damage per cast.
17:06 there was more to be found. If you look to the right of where you are you can smash the boxes and jump out onto a ledge, and also on the opposite side you can jump out onto the ledge.
I love your videos and I watch them all the time. However I never comment. I just had to say. Killing the FIRE GIANT on your FIRST try and barely taking any damage is CRAZY work bro.
Beating the Fire Giant first try is wild. GG, dude. You’ve gotten really good at Elden Ring. Hope you go back and play some of the other souls borne games and upload them.
That merchant in Moghwynn's Palace is low key the best merchant in the game. He is the only place you can buy Bloodroses which are used to make Bleed Resin (which imo is better than Bloodflame due to the mechanics of how each works). The only other way to get unlimited Bloodroses is with farming paths that require a lot of walking.
Since you like to use jump attacks a lot, a word of advice: Jumping actually disables the lower part of your hitbox, so it can be used like a dodge for certain attacks. Whenever there's a shockwave or other AoE on the ground, you can jump it. For example, the lightning stomps of Niall in the last episode can be jumped. You can also jump low attacks, (Mohg has such a sweep) but that may be to difficult to start with. There's a tree avatar on the other side of Deeproth depths that you haven't explored. You could try jumping over his golden butt slam, if you come over there. He also drops a weapon, so you might want to go there anyway. I hope this is useful to you.
"Soft Cap" for Vigor/HP just means that past lvl 60 you dont get as much value, it increases less per each level past lvl 60. So people usually dont level it past that on a casual playthrough.
9:40 Don't worry, fashion souls tops all else. I'm probably one of very few who actually uses Boc's seamster services to remove capes and plumes so I can get under weight limit and get a good look. I don't care that it's not "optimal". I wanna look how I wanna look! Dressing in rags for the rough warrior vibe is valid af.
Congrats Davo you’ve made it to the change of pace for this game. Moving forward you need to respect the boss damage and start playing slower with patience and timing, if you wanna beat Maliketh, and Malenia
hard cap means it’s the highest you level that stat before the value starts to decrease. basically leveling vigor past 60 would be a waste of level ups and you’d be better off using those levels for dex= damage or stamina/mind whatever works for you. the hard cap for all the damage stats like strength dex arcane int etc is 80. vigor mind and stamina is 60
I had so much more trouble with the fire giant when I played on a release. He seemed much more aggressive. Your dodged were on point though. I ended up beating him because there was a bug back then where if he had a status ailment when he's changed phases, he would die instantly. I was just like "Okay I'll take it."
The soft cap of 60 for a stat is the point where diminishing returns really kicks in. Level 99 is the max but from 60-99 each point would be more effective in different stat. You don’t need 60 vigor unless you think you want more hp. Cheers!
Funny thing about Mohg since he is the lord of blood every time you made him bleed he would get stronger. You can get the same effect with Vares white mask or using the lord of bloods talisman both give you increased damage for a couple seconds. Speaking of which flame grant me strength only works for 30 seconds I believe so buff when your closer to the boss
Honestly, you got super lucky with fire giant👹🔥 And you literally *got what u asked for* in Mohg's case; difficulty-appropriate for lategame bosses. As you advance further in the game from now on, expect lots of works to be put in & git gud.
you have to get the unalloyed needle after completing milicent's questline and go defeat the dragonlord in farumm Azula and use the needle in his Arena to undo the Three fingers
4:30 i used to hate lesser dragons too, but they really grew on me. The trick is to not go for the legs. Stand right in front and focus on dodging their bites so you smack thejr head for extra damage and better stance breaks. Using Torrent ro escape the breath attacks or specialized sheilds to just tank it is key. They are boring and tanky when you only smack the legs, the camera bugging out and your weapons do NO damage.
You can get the helm those fire Monks had that spew fire but it’s actually a weapon in the giants hero’s grave dungeon . Wish you could use it as a helm and weapon at once like they do.

The glow in your eyes is from the frenzied flame champ
its because of dragon communion not frenzied flame, the burn marks are what you get from the three fingers.
Would recommend getting it if you feel like it
FIRST TRY FIRE GIANT the improvment is actually CRAZY
Dung Eater had a whole questline..😅
4:45 Man, glad I'm a faith build. Dragons are probably the easiest miniboss type if you've got the Pest Threads incantation from Sage Gowry. Just stand behind them and cast it repeatedly for upwards of 6,000 damage a cast.
When I killed Bayle in the DLC I used Pest Thread Spears while standing behind him during breath attacks and was consistently doing like 10,000+ damage per cast.
The king has returned, I can finally eat my meal in absolute blithe and serenity. Truly a marvel of a god like presence. All hail davo 🙌🧎♂️…
17:06 there was more to be found. If you look to the right of where you are you can smash the boxes and jump out onto a ledge, and also on the opposite side you can jump out onto the ledge.
Just so you know, Vyke is the guy on the cover so the fingerprint armor is Main Character fit
oh boy, what an episode! Can't wait the next parts
Another awesome davo video.. kinda sad that you're on end game I've loved this play through.
It is interesting to see that everyone struggles on different bosses. Ive first tried both Moghs, and struggled with the fire giant.
You did incredibly well with Fire giant
Damn! props on beating the fire giant on your first try
Remember you can use larval tears to go to Rennala and respec and get the secret in Leyndell and then respec back into your build
9:13 Vyke's dragonbolt is the most powerful buff in your weapons but increses damage dealt
Im so used to NG+ that seeing davo kill fire giant first try suprised me
I'm about to beat ng+6 and shit is getting really real.
6:50 hard swapping at its finest 👌
RIP Dung eater, the 🐐
Bro always post when I got hella snacks love to see it. finna be a good night
fasion of function your armor combo is dope af dont let anyone tell you what to flex thats your own preference
Since you like to use jump attacks a lot, a word of advice:
Jumping actually disables the lower part of your hitbox, so it can be used like a dodge for certain attacks.
Idk i might like davo getting the ending hes getting so far, its so badass
"Soft Cap" for Vigor/HP just means that past lvl 60 you dont get as much value, it increases less per each level past lvl 60. So people usually dont level it past that on a casual playthrough.
You have one of the coolest builds I've seen
9:40 Don't worry, fashion souls tops all else. I'm probably one of very few who actually uses Boc's seamster services to remove capes and plumes so I can get under weight limit and get a good look. I don't care that it's not "optimal". I wanna look how I wanna look! Dressing in rags for the rough warrior vibe is valid af.
Congrats Davo you’ve made it to the change of pace for this game. Moving forward you need to respect the boss damage and start playing slower with patience and timing, if you wanna beat Maliketh, and Malenia
That being said, weapons that apply blood status like your build will steam roll through the bosses coming up except for the last 2
Well looks like I’m staying up another 1 hour and 18 mins!!! LETS GO DAVOOOO
Congrats on Fire Giant man! That shit took me like 60 tries no lie 😂
hard cap means it’s the highest you level that stat before the value starts to decrease. basically leveling vigor past 60 would be a waste of level ups and you’d be better off using those levels for dex= damage or stamina/mind whatever works for you. the hard cap for all the damage stats like strength dex arcane int etc is 80. vigor mind and stamina is 60
thats soft cap. hard cap is when you can't physically level it anymore. level 99 is hard cap for stats
I had so much more trouble with the fire giant when I played on a release. He seemed much more aggressive. Your dodged were on point though. I ended up beating him because there was a bug back then where if he had a status ailment when he's changed phases, he would die instantly. I was just like "Okay I'll take it."
You’re characters fit is fire tbh
You looked like a medieval trapped out homeless man
The soft cap of 60 for a stat is the point where diminishing returns really kicks in. Level 99 is the max but from 60-99 each point would be more effective in different stat. You don’t need 60 vigor unless you think you want more hp. Cheers!
Make sure to fight the secret boss in farum
First trying fire giant is actually insane
46:20 PRO TIP: read the description of the White Mask. It boosts your attack everytime you proc bleed.
Yeeesas! I’ve been waiting😂
Btw: Mogh and Miqulla are half brothers. And Miqulla is still technically a child
''all you had to do,WAS LISTENING TO MELINA'S DAMN ADVICE CJ!!''
Dlc accessed hell yeah, I feel like a proud father
I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE BIG 4 OF THE HARDEST BOSSES!!!
You defeated mohg before second phase!!!!! dude, you are a fkin Legend, and lucky
Finally. I kept my word. Lets get it!
Bro bullied Mogh did not even let him Transition
You good bro? Been a week just doing a a check up!
Your yellow eyes are an effect of joining the service of the three fingers. You've inherited the frenzied flame. Yellow flame.
GG that was a clean fire giant fight
