  • Today's video I take a look at some things Matt Denny is doing in his Discus Throw that made me pay attention to my own throw and make some adjustments. I also give a quick recap of the last 2 weeks in New Zealand. Feels good to be back home training again.

Got any tips for a high schooler trying to compete at the college level. I've also never touched a javelin or a hammer so there's that.

When you see a video with a JY in the bottom left corner: *clicks like before the page finishes loading*
Also idk if this'll help but maybe try feeling your lats tighten while you throw. It looks like your throwing arm is very low in the wind up and even lower in the sprint to the middle. I remember you having some shoulder issues so that may be why. I saw Matt had his throwing arm far higher than his off arm. Like when you go slowly your arm is level, but in all of your full throws you immediately dip.

His orbit is also much more pronounced.

Sugar Man he’s left. During the video, he flipped the video to make it look like he was throwing right. But he’s a lefty.

    Good Morning,
At the start of the fulls, I see a dip in the throwing arm, influencing the orbital integrity.
When your walking through, I don't see that.
Is this intentional or something that needs to be corrected?
