I moved from USA (after 9 years on F1 with PhD) to Canada (20 years ago). Now I regret my choice. In Canada the value of education is very low, pay is less, many successful companies move to USA. People with no formal education beyond high school, make way more money and live rich than university educated professional. Children have limited choice in university education (for example it is impossible for students who are not non-white or Chinese to enter med school). Healthcare, you either heal yourself or pass away before seeing a specialist. Sumer is only 2 months. essentially live 3 months and survive 9 months. Crime and drugs are rampant. Raising kids is very challenging. We have people from all over the world are here, but they are all segregated do not a mingle). White people at the top of the employment hierarchy, immigrants are at the bottom. This is true in public sector as well. Proof is in the Ontario's sunshine list.
