  • I did this interview in 2017. Thought to share the video - it had never been shared online before.
    About Vusi:
Vusi speaks in 4 of the 7 continents over 350 000 people each year. Here he shares about his childhood and how he ventured into Venture Capitalism as well as motivational talking. He challenges long-held beliefs that young people are the "leaders or tomorrow", but rather encourages them to step up and take up the challenge now.

I was quick to judge not realizing and understanding the presenters personality. I became emotional and a bit upset. I called the guy out on my previous comment, for cutting vusi while he was explaining something important at the time. I've come to realise that we react through immediate emotions which at times question our motive and the information we share on the internet. Just watching this clip I've learned a lot. ( Don't be to quick to judge ) The mistake most Africans make, including myself.

Think of being a parent right, do we teach our children like your Mom taught you, not to whine, not to sit in that rocking chair going nowhere, not to live a life looking back in the rear view mirror. Parents today remote control their kids, they don't have time or are too tired to teach their kids all the right values. It is a parents responsibility to teach their children to take their wings and fly, not try to fly and drop dead to the ground. We need teachers like you Vusi. You are right we don't want another messiah, the youth wants to be taught, they are hungry for knowledge, not just in business, but emotional intelligence. There is no hand book for the lessons of life, but through your wise experiences you will touch lives far and wide, you will help build a rich nation. Help in teaching the youth that you are WORTH living your BEST life. Teach them before they dive in and have kids that are born into poverty. You are an amazing speaker, people hang on your lips when you speak, you linguistic training will teach far and wide and give Africa wings!

    • @zinzimdedetyana1234

That is what we call Role modelling which is such a scarcity especially in Africa for the youth. Hold on to Vusi's teaching you will and can never go wrong.

Lol, The way he said "Next" ... "Next again" I cracked up.
I think uButh' Vusi makes solid points. The way it is right now, the disconnect between generations is creating a stagflation in our growth as the African continent. I believe individually we all face different struggles as countries but in our ability to grow in opportunities to trade with our people across Africa without cost, the ability to exchange and learn from each other with the establishment of connected safe trading routes, cyber surveillance on those trading networks both physically & digitally as well as a political agreements to have a united vision of a United Africa can go a very long way with the help of the elder generation. I enjoyed this interview, I appreciated the hosts direct & expressive energy, isn't afraid to go deep (pause). Lol.

Demographics - We need to look at the facts. Too many people. We need to talk about over breeding, having too many children that we cannot afford to have. You are suppose to have children so that you can give them the BEST life that you can afford to give them, we are not suppose to have so many children that they grow up poor, make poor choices. For as long as social grants are paid then people will only have children for that money, the wrong reason to have children. Children are seen as our riches, but how can they be our riches if they grown up having to steal to help feed their many siblings. There needs to be global education around this, it must be a taught subject, for if we don't the cycle will never change, nor will the mental minds grow to become dynamic. Offer classes on this Vusi, you will be fully booked, because you will be teaching foundational stuff that no one wants to teach. Teach our nation that nothing is a taboo subject, that this is not about race, it is about living your best life!

This presenter is honestly the worst I've ever seen . I am sure that I'm not the only one who feels this way but honestly. His presenting/interviewing skills are poor. First of all you allow a person you are having a discussion with to speak without having the need to cut him off.
