Hey nice tutorial and this trick is very usefull specially when adding landscape elements like plants. i would like to add that if you import the sketchup file inside a family you can then schedule the imported geometry using the host family type.
Hi sir! I have some question and need you help me to answers: if you link cad furniture directly to the project, so when rendering by enscape, the materials of the item you just linked will it stay the same as sketchup, or do you have to go the family and apply every material to every component? I need keep all the materials, but not apply every material for the component. Looking forward to the answer! Thank you!

I have been doing it this way. l also import sketchup files to make Revit Families. l was hoping that you will explain how to maintain the material textures or how to keep the material textures in Revit. After importing sketchup files, the materials imported change to Default material.
Is there a way to hide the hidden geometry lines that comes imported with the 3D model? Especially in plan view, I want to use the furniture as symbols as well.
Hello sir Balkan Architect! how can we change its materials for example I'm doing my own model in sketchup then how to add materials on revit? Hope to hear from you soon, thank you!

I use Revit 2019 and because of some fault that I can't import S.U to Revit by your way. I had to insert it into a Revit family: Metric furniture to create a new family. But thanks so much anyway, your videos are so helpful and I really enjoy them. If you have time, please make Dynamo tutorial videos! Thank you again
@@zainabaquil4666 You can follow my steps: In Revit: New -> Family -> English -> Metric Furniture. In S.U: you have to save your S.U file as "Sketch up version 5 or 6.skp" then drag it in your Metric furniture of Revit you have created.
Thank you, I tried to follow your solution and it worked.. Although I ended up with one minor problem, the inserted S.A module is left without any material attached to it. For now, what I am trying to do is explode the family and assign a Revit material to each part.. I am wondering if you've faced the same problem and how/if you managed to fix it?! Thanks Again!
