Great video; very helpful. Thank you for taking time to explain each step. I'm currently installing AutoMeter gauges in my project. I've never wired anything before; it seems daunting without having an electrical background of any sort. Keep your videos coming.
Funny thing is I had bought a gauge cluster with auto meter gauges too and my oil and water gauges did the same thing as yours. Good to know that I need new oil and water sensors. I installed the cluster a year ago but I live about of the country and haven’t been back to drive the car. I thought maybe it was because I am using an sun 95 mustang engine and wiring harness in my 65 mustang but when I bought the gauges I had not planned on this. However now I have fuel injected car and t5 transmission. Also, everything I need to have power windows locks and a key fob. Anti theft system as well if I want to get that active. I did make a a sequenced ignition sequence to start the care. So it would be difficult to start the car or steal it if someone tried. Even if they have the keys. Two more added additions will be to put the battery in the trunk and a starter cut of switch. Anyway I do not often come across answer’s to my problems. So it was nice to come across your video.
hiya great video i have got the same speedo meter but i got the 5292 autometer sender unit that goes in the gear box and i haven't ever got any speed on the gauges , everything is wired up the right way , i have looked up loads off videos and there saying u need to push the button in etc , i have found the gps unit u got , did u have to do anything to it to make it work? was it wire up and it worked ? or would u be able to help me by solving problem thank you
Out of curiosity, did you wire up the little box that goes with it as well, or just use the coax cable antenna by itself? The back of my speedometer says it can use one or the other

yes of course I wired up the box. I show it in the video. too.
Can you take a electric speedometer and convert it to a gps speedometer
An electric speedo is probably a GPS speedo. Most speedos use a cable that goes to the transmission. Those couldnt be converted.
