Sheikh Mujeeb was expelled from University because of leading the Protest for 4th grade workers rights in 1949 against the university authority.
4 more students were expelled too.
All of them were given condition that they have to pay 15 taka as fine and have to bring their guardians. 4 other students gave the fine and got their studentship back. But Sheikh Mujeeb refused to do in solidarity with the rights of 4th grade workers of the university.
His expulsion was withdrawn in 2010 and the university authority asked forgiveness.

I am from Lahore, Pakistan. It was democratic right of Mujeeb to be accepted him as PM of Pakistan, but Bhutto was power hunger, he desired to be PM of Pakistan, either united or in otherwise condition and Yahya was his puppet. Public mandate was violated, results the disintegration of country. If Mujeeb was handed over the bridle of country, the following unpleasant stances could successfully be avoided.
1) Assassination of innocent Bengalis, Beharis, Hindus, West Pakistani families and Urdu speaking.
2) Crossing over border by the substantial citizen as refugees.
3) Providing an opportunity to everlasting enemy India for interference.
4) Historical disgraceful surrender.
5) Secession of both the wings of country.
6) Till date the camp life of Beharis.

Excellent analysis. I was born and brought up in East Pakistan. I saw the atrocities of Pakistan Army with my own eyes. Although my family spoke fluent Bengali and were accepted as locals, we had to leave our house and business and move to West Pakistan just before the war as the Gulf between Bengalis and non-Bengalis had grown to unacceptable levels. Even after passage of fifty years I miss the land of rivers and wish that my parents should have made the decision to stay.

They denied our language rights. Plz see history where it is clearly shown that the people of West Pakistan was getting more job opportunities, economical opportunities, political opportunities that the people of East Pakistan. The first Federation election in 1954 when East Pakistan won but only after 3 days the ministry cabinet had been denied. In 1962, The pakistani govt restricted on educational rights. In 1970, Awami League won the majority vote but the Pakistani govt. never given that right. And about 6 points plz read those 6 points.that points about people's rights. And Operation search light, oh my god how could people say it was carried out by mokti bahini. It was operated by General Tikka khan. Bangladesh is doing far more better things than Pakistan. If Bangladesh was still under Pakistan that Bangladesh would have another Kashmir. Pakistan killed our 30 lakhs people, raped 2 lakhs woman. If you don't believe plz go to google. On 14 december 1971, when pakistan saw that they are going to defeated, on this day they meticulously killed our well known Professor, Journalists, Writer, and many other intellectuals people. I am a kashmiri. Parents prefer to send their children to Bangladesh for education because they feel people there are more like Kashmiris in temperament. On the other hand those who visit Pakistan return with regret. Sheikh Mujeeb worked for Pakistan but due to greed Bhutto denied him to lead the country though he had more seats. Pakistan is ruled by big landlords and they found themselves in danger if Mujeeb belonging to a lower middle class family comes in to Power. Two wings of Pakistan were separated by two thousand kilometres and it was necessary to grant autonomy to them. Wish progress for our Bangali brothers.

I agree with most of the content of this video. However, let me add a few things that may help to get a better perspective of our history.
The two parts of Pakistan in 1970 were administered under Martial Law (Legal Frame Work Order). Election of 1970 were held to frame a workable Constitution to keep the Federation together. Sheikh Mujeebur Rahman did get majority votes of the Constituent Assembly. However, Constitutions are made through consensus of the Federating Units and not by brute majority. Sheikh Mujeebur Rahman refused to give-up some parts of his Manifesto (Six Points) which could be acceptable to all parties. He should not have been allowed to run the 1970. Election to the Constituent Assembly, based on his Six Points Agenda.
He tricked those in Power that he will be flexible on Six Points after election. After the election, he became more rigid on political compromise.
If he had agreed to a workable Constitution, he could become Prime Minister of the United Pakistan.
Mistakes were made by many including the generals in power. However, we cannot ignore the devious part played by India to exploit the situation.

Corrupt Politicians are the main culprits who always supported Army regime to share the power since begining as Muslim league Daultana Group Muslim League Qayum Group etc etc. In 1970 West Pakistan Population was 50 millions ( Sindh, Punjab, Baluchistan, NWFP, Tribal area ) while East Pakistan Population was 75 millions. When Yahya Khan called National Assembly session and Sheikh Mujeeb offered to form his Govt. Z.A. Bhutto refused boycott and said " Koi Assembly mai jaiga tuTangeen tor de jain geen". Who said Tum wahan Hum Yahan? Who said two National Assembly? When Mujeeb was arrested and jailed on 23rd March 1971 Z.A. Bhutto represented as Foreign Minister of Yahia Marshallaw Govt torn resolution passed in UNO to release Mujeeb and resolve political issues. India took advantage and started war on 4th Dec. 1971 with support of local Mukhti Bahini and Hindus ( Major population of minority at that time were majority in East Pakistan and still in our Sindh ). Gen. Niazi is blamed but how many Generals were in West Pakistan and how much land of West Pakistan was captured by Indian Army? On16th Dec. 1971 it was a Political Surrender due to our bad Politicians who were failed to retain United Pakistan while Sheikh Mujeeb stated that my six points are not a Holy Book and we can talk on this. Two Nation theory Hindu and Muslim destroyed by these Bad and Corrupt Politicians separating Bengalis and New Nation theory Sindhi, Punjabi, Pakhtoon, Baluchi and then Altaf Hussain launched for Mohajir defined by our Pakistani Politicians. Where is Hamoodur Rehman commission report ? and why not published in 3 times Democratic PrimeMinister Nawaz and 2 time Democratic PrimeMinister Benazir Bhutto?. Bangladesh growth because Sheikh Mujeeb lived in 240 square yards home who was murdered and died (All three characters of that time Indira Gandhi, Mujeeb, Bhutto were murdered). PrimeMinister of Bangladesh is Hasina Wajid not Hasina Mujeeb where as our Benazir was Benazir Bhutto not Benazir Zardari, Maryam is Maryam Nawaz not Marium Safder and a joke when 18 years boy renamed as Bilawal Bhutto Zardari all our feudal Jaggerdar Sardar Wadera and so called Senior Democratic Politicians became his obedient or allies for their own financial benefits. It is shameful for us Bangladesh 1 Taka is equal to our 2 Rs. Jinhe hum Kehte thai Bangali bahut bachchai paida kerte hain unki abadi hum se kum. These historical facts are now being manipulated.

I was 1st year BA student when the civil war started in East Pakistan when election mandate of the people of pakistan ( both East and West ) was neglected by the bureaucracy and establishment in Pakistan. The Prime Minister ship of Pakistan was the democratic right of Sheikh Mujib Rahman since he got comfortable majority in the general election of 1970. However his famous or notorious 6 point program created suspicion in the mind of establishment and bureaucracy. Bcoz the 6 point program in the final DNA was the secession of East Bengal from Pakistan. Further Mujib was once the prime accused in the Agartala conspiracy case which was later with drawn due to political pressure. This was exploited by People's Party leader Bhutto.Negotiations were failed. During this time a section of Awami league wanted total seperation from Pakistan. When the unity and territorial integrity of Pakistan was questioned and challenged by some secessionist elements the State of Pakistan was constrained to initiate stringent action against the separatism. Even before the notorious Operation Search Light massive violence and destruction of public properties were carried on by the Mukhti bahini secessionist hooligans. But in the name of preserving the unity and territorial integrity the Pakistani defence forces had committed devilish brutalities against their own people of its eastern wing. However similar ferocious atrocities were also committed by the so called mukhti bahini hooligans against the west Pakistani people and their families residing there at that time. So brutalities and atrocities were committed by both sides against each other. The civil war in course of time turned into an Indo Pak war in which Pakistan was totally defeated on both fronts and its eastern province seceeded and became another country known as Bangladesh. But by becoming a separate country the present day Bangladesh has lost their legitimate right over each and every inches of their former western wing comprising of 4 provinces and having more than 6 times larger land area than Bangladesh for ever. Now Bangladesh is confined to a comparitvely a small land area surrounded 3 sides by my country. Emergence of Quislings and Mirjaffers is a menace and threat to the sovereign existence of any country. In the case of Pakistan its leaders of both wings are equally responsible for the breakup of that country. I have chatted with so many people from Bangladesh especially those born after 1971. To my surprise almost all have still a soft corner towards their former western wing.
@@kassimka123 Big brother my family also belong from that part and my father was student of Presidency College passed B.A Hons. from University of Calcutta in 1947, Mr. Nehru attended convocation in March 1948. My father was first Graduate of Muslim Mohalla Dharbagan Calcutta. I was student of HSC and student of Quaid Azam College Dacca in 1970. Our shop at 122 Nawabpur Road was burned by Awami leauge mob on 23rd March 1971. Our home at Bonogram Road Dacca was looted and occupied by Commander Mukti Bahini Fahad who was later murdered by his own rival. In fact main looser were we who migrated from that part in partition both side East or West Pakistan. Alhamd-O-Lillah our struggle make us success and me and my brothers family other relatives are well settled now in Pakistan, more our children are well educated and dual national. God bless you.
